Fwayo, Mukuka, Nkausu to Miss Japan Friendly

Chipolopolo vice captain Kennedy Mweene is a doubt for next week’s international friendly between Zambia and Japan after he sustained an injury in his club’s Cup game played in Namibia over the weekend.

According to Chipolopolo coach Patrice Beaumelle, Mweene will today (Thursday) undergo a scan which will help determine his availability for the game.

China based James Chamanga is also struggling with a hamstring injury and trained alone yesterday in the afternoon while the technical bench is treading cautiously on Mukuka Mulenga and are in consultation with his Mamelodi Sundowns medics on his fitness and he is likely to miss the friendly as he did not train with the team.

Davies Nkausu has been ruled out due to injury while Fwayo Tembo will also not be available as he works on his future after Romanian club Astra filed case against him with FIFA.

Beaumelle is already without Given Singuluma, Rainford Kalaba and Kabaso Chongo from TP Mazembe.
