Patrice Prays For Clubless Players To Find Clubs

Chipolopolo coach Patrice Beaumelle says he is hoping that clubless Chipolopolo stars will have their future sorted out during the current transfer window that closes in August.

Beaumelle told bolazambia.com that he was happy with the three inclusions from the Under-20 squad that are competing for places in the final 21 member travelling party to Tampa, Florida for an international friendly against Japan.

He also confirmed that Bloemfontein Celtic defender Davies Nkausu has been ruled out of the June, 6 international friendly match.

Beaumelle said club hunting striker Jacob Mulenga will travel directly to Florida from his base in Netherlands where he is holed up trying sort out his future after his contract with Utrecht FC ran out.

“Jacob played last six games and scored a few goals, Chris (Katongo) played for Golden Arrows for the last few months and he finished the league, so I spoke to the coach he did well even if the team got relegated he was a regular player,” he said.

“Of course I wish them to find a club as soon as possible because it is very important for them to do their job.”

He said the doors to the national team are always open as seen from his inclusion of Under-20 players.

“This is a good example Lubambo, Patrick Ngoma I don’t care about the age as long as they are doing well the door is open,” he said.

“The reality is within the green rectangle as long as they are doing well, they will play.”

He added: “The door is always open; 10 days ago Isaac was not in my plan. I knew that he was training but he was not yet ready. I saw two games from him he came last week for the local camp and he did well it is an example when I say the door is open.”

Beaumelle is expected to name his final travelling squad today ahead of the trip next Tuesday.
