Kalusha: Yali Ninkongole I got When We Had Problems With RB
By Musonda Chibulu
“Yali ni nkongole which I offered to pay; it was a loan which I had to pay. When I said I had the money they said no, and that is where we are. Bin Hammam is a personal friend of mine, I knew him for a long time,” the Post quotes FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya explaining.

Kalusha Bwalya
Oliver Chisenga and Oliver Shalala write in today’s The Post that the money allegedly given to Kalusha by Mohammed Bin Hammam was a debt meant to be paid back.
The Post said in a telephone interview from Tampa, Florida, Bwalya said the amount was in fact $50, 000 and not $80, 000 as alleged by the Sunday Times.
Bwalya explained that the money was borrowed to help FAZ run its activities at the time it was embroiled in wrangles with the then government under Rupiah Banda.
“The money was put to good use because it’s the time twalepishanya nabena Lupiya. I offered to pay them as indicated but they said no, just wait we will tell you. In principle we should have paid it back because Yali ni nkongole.”
The Post say it is not clear whether the funds were repaid by Bwalya or FAZ and whether the funds Bwalya received on behalf of FAZ were remitted to the association’s coffers.

but zambia does not run FAZ its run by FIFA. I concur with him Rupiah was too much on him using smarter chimata and kamanga. He also go a couch for Zambia from Italy using the fratoli loci formula of 4% cut on every pay.

First Kalusha told the Zambian Press from Jo’burg it was ****** to suggest he was given money to influence his vote when he never even votes at FIFA. He never said he got the money! Now he tells us he committed FAZ and Zambia by getting money because of the problems he was having with RB.The honourable thing for Kalusha to do is to show us how that money was used on FAZ work and why the person he borrowed from would refuse to get back the Nkongole. This is what raises more suspicion about what the money was meant for and whether the decision to borrow had the support of the entire FAZ and the blessings of National Sports Council of Zambia. I smell a rat in this whole thing.

The story above lacks detail. As a result bloggers will judge the issue without information. Who borrowed what and was it paid back? who paid it back? These are questions a reporter should answer for his readers

SOMEHOW, I FIND IT WISE FOR ME TO SIDE WITH KALU EVEN WHEN I HAVE BEEN CRITICAL OF HIM IN SOME ISSUES. THE GUY IS HIGH PLACED AND RUBS SHOULDERS WITH PEOPLE TO WHOM $50,000 IS NOTHING. LET HIM BE IF THERE IS NO PROOF OF MALPRACTICE. THIS BENEFITED A ZAMBIAN IN SOME WAY IF ANYTHING.
SOLDIERS WHO ATTACKED GADDAFI, HUSSEIN,BIN LADEN. ARE YOU TELLING ME THEY NEVER GOT AWAY WITH ANYTHING? COME ON, THEIR NATION JUST SHIMAMAD ON IT. LET THE GUY BE.
DOES KALUSHA VOTE AT FIFA?
WHAT POLITICS WERE OBTAINING AT FAZ THEN?
WHY DID HIS RIVALS AT FAZ NOT BRING THIS UP?
DOES ANYONE HAVE CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN KALUSHA AND BIN?

It’s not news to me because this is what most of my mbuyas are good at: they have a thieving DNA. 1. We need minutes of meetings with FAZ committee members showing they agreed to receive the monies.
2. We need evidence that the money ended up in FAZ coffers
3. We need minutes of meetings after Bin Hammam refused to accept the repayment.
4. What did he mean by ” I hope to repay you in the near future, as the burden is little bit too hard for me at this moment”
All you’ll discover is that Kalu chowed that money alone in exchange for a favour.

It is ridiculous for anyone to start accusing Kalusha of stealing. Firstly, he asked for this money from Bin Hamman in his personal capacity as a friend. The money Bin Hamman sent Kalusha is from his privately owned companies. Even if this money was spent on Kalusha’s personal expenses, because RB, Kamanga and Simata Simata where trying to frustrate him, he had the right as this is money raised in his personal capacity. This country is currently confused as we read too much into everything spoken by a white man.
Most likely Kalusha was targetting this money to be used for his lobbying and campaigning to stay on as FAZ president.
Please people, get connected so that when you are fighting a giant like the President of the GRZ, you can still survive. What is this desperation by the Euopean countries, especially UK to destroy Qatar before they host the 2022 FIFA world cup? If Qatar doesn’t host the 2022 world cup because of this fictitious furore, be ready to contend with the Arab penisula’s wrath on the game of soccer.

June 5, 2014 at 12:18 am
These your comments are nonsense, Why would Kalu go and get money on credit AND not disclose? If it was reported, Kalu would have gone scot-free. The honorable thing for Kalusha and all other leaders of other federetion who have been menthioned is to resign. But knowing the African leader, It has not even crossed their mind that what they did was wrong. Even the CAF president himself has brushed it aside.

June 4, 2014 at 4:39 pm
Take note that Kalu was not dependant on Government to run the association as you are aware, he was being challenged by Government sponsored football destroyers Simata Simata and Kamanga. So he depended on his own initiative and strength to keep going. That was one way to express himself that he could have survived as a leader even if the Government at that time had their favoured failures to run the association. he got the money by his initiative and to be paid back by his initiative but to help his administration to survive. The gay has the potential of not to be intimidated.

I said it before and I m saying it again. Kalusha’s interest in FAZ is to have access to such deals. As u know FIFA is rotten to the core when it comes to corruption. That is why kalusha left the National coaching job so he can rape FAZ. Even kambwili coming to his defence is because they are same and also ka tribalism.

Zambians we are not genuine in what we do.what ever we do is to serve ourselves, we cant pay attention to what affects the country as a whole. What I only ask is let FAZ be audited and establish what transpired, they could be more misapplication of funds by Kalusha, which I myself anticipate.the chap has taken FAZ like his own institution this is why he cant allow any one threatening him on good governance. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ZAMBIANS BE GENUINE.

You recall FTJ Chabala KaShortie Chiluba claiming that he had put his personal money with government money together in a government account! And here is another silly monkey from Luapula caught pants down but he has the audacity of claiming it was a debt for FAZ, while giving zero evidence to show this money ever landed in FAZ accounts. Some idiots are so stinky, nothing but a bullet in the head can free their troubled thieving souls.
