Miti:Beware Of Men Preaching For Money

A Catholic priest in Chipata says it is amazing that some preachers are preaching the word of God for economic gain.
In his sermon during Pentecostal Sunday at St Charles Lwanga outstation of St Mathias Mulumba Parish, Fr Evans Miti urged people to always do things according to God’s will.
He said a true Christian could not perpetuate lies in society.
“Many people in the world today speak about the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a different way simply to gain money, for economic gains. Many are the times that we have travelled, now with due respect to the people on the buses, they will say, ‘oh before you leave, let us pray. After that they say offerings, offerings. This makes me wonder whether such people want to proclaim the spirit of truth or just for monetary gains. Let us be very careful,” Fr Miti cautioned.
He said people should be able to distinguish between the Spirit of God and the spirit of the devil.
He said there were some spirits which torment individuals.
Fr Miti said the Holy Spirit directs human beings to communicate with God.
He said Christians should ensure that they proclaim the word of God to people.
He said people should renounce their sins when they hear about God.
And Fr Miti said peace of mind was very important to an individual.
He said people could have everything, but those things amount to nothing if the people do not have a peace of mind.
“You can’t proclaim the word of God if you have no peace of mind. A person who is endowed or influenced by an evil spirit cannot operate in a right way. What they will be doing will just be confusion,” said Fr Miti

Pastors are not shamed of themselves, they are even stealing from the poor people using a Bible.

FR mitti must remember that all churches cant be catholic. those evangelists in buses also need lunch, they need to buy a new Bible, they need transport, and even the offerings in the catholic is used for such purposes. However catholic church is lucky because they are funded by governments ( whose source of income is the tax they get from poor people) and they have businesses which they run as schools, hospitals, hospices etc. so to speak about a speck in another person’s eye while ignoring the log in your all along is hypocrisy!!!!

I agree wit u fr, example Joe Imakando, the guy is rich from pipos money, he’s ever toking about giving, so that he can b rich, driving Hummer…etc. look at the pipo who give him, walking, pipo give their last coins. But him, he doesn’t care, coz he has to enrich himself

Well spoken Father but tell your fellow catholic priests to stop sleeping around with ladies. They opted for celibacy therefore they should keep away from women. Those who cannot control their feelings should step down as priests and marry. Better than ”ifyakulya ubushiku.”

Christ’s 2ND coming is mentioned in scriture 2,500 times….that means its a very VERY IMPORTANT EVENT!And satan would love nothing better than to have people MISUNDERSTAND just ‘how’ this event will take place! The father could have had a point on that day,,,,but it all takes us back to ‘what would Jesus do to help such pastors. The bible says not all who call upon my will enter the Kingdom. We all need to be served let us find a way to help such people so that they can serve God in truth and in spirit

Ba Chisenga, you are out of topic, I support Fr. Miti. Ba osgris why cant you also start building schools and Hospitals? catholics have initiatives, getting money from schools is not about stealing that’s true money and God wants people to work in order to find food on the table. Nshile yeba abantu ama initiative yakwiba from poor people like muma buses washimikila elyo auti give me something, go in fields and kalime walasanga ifyakulya mwebapupu mwe Lesa nimwe akabalilapo ukukwapula. Leave Fr, Miti alone, us Catholics we are proud. Fi Pentecostals ubufi bwenu.

people, am not a ‘pente’ neither a catholic but I want to know one thing. you people who say Bishop Imakando is a thief, how come he has thousands of followers?… educated, uneducated, poor, rich, ministers, C.E.O’s etc. does it mean that these thousands are blind or they have accepted to be stolen from and to be led by a thief???
