Police Stake K5, 000 For Arrest of People Behind Nude Video
The Zambia Police have staked a reward of Five thousand kwacha for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the people who indecently assaulted a woman who was allegedly caught committing adultery.
The assailants paraded the woman naked who they publicly harassed on allegation that she had committed adultery with an unknown man.
Police Deputy Public Relations officer Rae Hamoonga has told Qfm News in a statement that the said assailants shot a video of the whole scenario which they later posted and is currently circulating on the internet.
Mr. Hamoonga has encouraged anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of this inhuman and degrading form of gender based violence to report to any nearest police station.
He has also warned those in the habit of making, posting and distributing such nude pictures or videos that under the Zambian laws, SUCH acts amount to committing a crime punishable by imprisonment.
There has been widespread condemnation of the video from women organizations and the Human Rights Commission.

I too was totally disgusted, appalled,shocked and ashamed be of Zambian descent when I saw this video. I can not believe my people are STILL so back wards. In this day and age adultery is not something unheard of. It takes two to tangle. Why was the partner (man) not humiliated in this fashion as well.?

I got the video from one of my friends back home and I was so disturbed by it. How could sane people spread the woman’s legs to such levels and muzimai screaming vakachilemba kamoneke shani shani. Where was the man she was caught with?It’s a case of picking the most vulnerable and abusing them in such a manner. The culprits’ faces are showing and some names are mentioned in that video, let people come forward and cops do their job on this one.
