Nawakwi:Youths Are Not Benefiting From Construction Works

Forum for Development and Democracy (FDD) President Edith Nawakwi has observed that some youths are not benefiting from the construction works taking place in the country.Ms Nawakwi says youths have been moving from one construction site to another in search of employment but to no avail as most of the contractors doing works in the country have come with their workers.
Ms Nawakwi notes that even the Chinese Companies have come with their own people to do jobs which should be done by local people.
The FDD Leader wonders how youths are benefiting from these construction works, when they cannot even get simple jobs.
Meanwhile, Transport and Communications Minister Yamfwa Mukanga has maintained that a lot of youths have taken advantage of the construction works going on in the country to acquire jobs.
Mr. Mukanga says youths are the most beneficiaries of the ongoing construction works in terms of job opportunities.

How can you create employment for lets say 7 plus million youths in two and half years Nawakwi and amongst these youths there are some with no academic qualifications but they need jobs for their survivor?

I greatly appreciate hon. nawakwi comments but it is important to note that there are a lot of factors that bring about this unemployment in our country,
1 there is no clear plan on how youths unemployment can be tackled in this country
2 nawakwi herself had ignonored youth un enmployment during their reign, frankly speaking sata as a person has tried in the last two years he has been in power.
