ABZ Says Foreigners Are Taking Up Zambian Jobs

PRESS STATEMENT

JUNE 20, 2014.
As ABZ youth we are saddened to note that foreigners mainly from China have continued to operate earth moving equipment such as graders including wheelbarrows. We feel that it is unacceptable to have this situation 50 years after independence. For instance yesterday June 19, 2014 while driving to Kalulushi in the company of our Party President Frank Bwalya (FB) we noticed that the company working on the Kitwe-Kalulushi road has brought in Chinese nationals to operate graders.
We think that there are many young people qualified to operate such equipment and if the situation is that we don’t have qualified young people then the PF government should immediately introduce crush courses to teach young people to operate such equipment. As for pushing wheelbarrows, we think that no one needs to sit on a desk to learn how to do it.
Since the PF promised to create more jobs we demand that they do something about this situation as quickly as possible to demonstrate seriousness in fulfilling the promise. We also urge the PF to continue implementing policies and projects that should create jobs especially for the majority youth.
Finally, we wish to make it clear that we are not against expatriates and foreigners in general coming to work in Zambia. What we oppose is the situation of foreigners doing jobs that we can do such as painting, welding, pushing wheelbarrows and even some white colour jobs. There are many graduates holding diplomas and degrees in accounting, human resource management, engineering and many more who are just languishing on the streets. We think that the government should take the responsibility of taking care of Zambians as a priority. Charity begins at home.

This is the effect of being poor in thinking. You go to University hoping to find a job at some desk. Educated Idoits!! All that research you do MUST open your scope of thinking. Its you who must be an employer!! Ati graduates mumisebo, Bupuba! No wonder you pursue courses that have no relevance to Zambia nor yourself!!

By the way, Iwe ka ABZ fimofimo, have you seen that most, if not all, the richest people youknow are those tthat have used their talent attributes well? Think of them all. Even that fallen father of yours no longer depends on ‘Sunday’s mutulo’ but must be innovative to raise survival cash. No Vatican handouts.

Your complaint at face value is valid but in reality it is some thing else. A Zambian productivity is very low. A Zambian is full of excuses while a Chi
nese and Indian has none. When we come to accuracy a Zambian is very bad!

Why is Immigration issueing permits to the people taking our jobs? This calls for investigation. The chinamen are all over our country because they have corrupted the immigration authorities. These people are selling our birthright with dire consequences in the future. Wake up Zambia! The chinese can not do in Botswana and Namibia what they are doing in Zambia. We must protect our country for posterity. Our children will never forgive us.

ABZ is right and its not just Chinese, we have also Zimbabwean, South Africans, Philipinos here in Northwestern doing jobs that Zambians can do. we have foreign drivers, welders, store keepers, and all sorts of jobs that Zambians can do. Immigration keep giving permits for such when the law clearly states that foreigners must not deprive citizens out of employment.Corruption is too high especially in Solwezi Immigration department. Who is going to stand for Zambians?

@Sage u r damn right. The greatest enemy of zambians are zambians themselves. With an impotent pf govt it is terrible.
