ZANACO Survive Power Cut

Leaders Zanaco twice came from behind to draw 2-all with third placed Power Dynamos at Arthur Davies Stadium to maintain their hold on top spot. Zanaco who went into this fixture on the back of two consecutive losses could not have got to a worse start when they fell behind in the 12th minute from a Richard Kasonde goal. However, the bankers restored parity in the 23rd minute through a Kabuku Maunga goal but were again on the back foot through another Kasonde strike three minutes into the second half. With the tie seemingly going against the bankers who were at the risk of losing top spot under-20 star Davy Daka leveled matters in the 81st minute to ease the pressure on Aggrey Chiyangi. Zanaco move to 30 points tied with Zesco United who have an inferior goal difference. Zesco United defeated visiting Nakambala Leopards 3-1 to keep the pressure on Zanaco. In Lusaka Napsa Stars put up a scintillating show to beat National Assembly 4-1 at Woodlands Stadium.
