Ghana Football Star Hands Out Money to Underprivileged Brazillians

muntariStill flying high from his side’s superb 2-2 draw against Germany on Saturday, Ghana’s Sulley Muntari decided to make it rain.

The Ghanaian midfielder was seen handing out money on Sunday afternoon to underprivileged locals hanging outside Rei Pele Stadium in Maceió.

Muntari had just finished practice with his team inside the stadium when he got special permission from his head coach Kewsi Appiah to hand out money to the locals in Trapiche.

Muntari quickly distributed money to children and adults as he walked in the slum.

Local police had to ask the A.C. Milan player to stop, before fights broke out.

Some reports suggested the former Premier League player gave out R$350 (Brazilian Reals), which adds up to $160 per person he met.

“It’s unforgettable,” one man who received money from Muntari told a local newspaper.

“I’ve lived in this poor community behind the Rei Pele Stadium for forty years but have never seen anything like this before. Not once has a soccer player come here. Brazil never gave me anything but Ghana did. I will support them up to the end.”

Unfortunately, Muntari will miss Ghana’s final group stage game against Portugal on Thursday due to card accumulation.

This is very good. After all, all that we have will be left behind when we die. It is always a pleasure to share with those that are less privileged than us. God bless you my brother!

Chizungu. Dirty is not the same as scruffy or unkempt. When you say someone is dirty you mean he is indecent or offensive. Or he is unhygienic. How do you know this about this guy?

How do you know he doesn’t help out in Ghana?
People are people, no matter what color and if they need help they need help.
Shame on all the comments calling him ugly.
You have ugly hearts to say that.

He does the same thing in Ghana and infact he has even opened an orphanage centre which his wife runs in Ghana.A very generous footballer indeed.

Muntari is a fool. Does he realise how many underpriveleged people they are in his own home country?
