Lusaka Fake Doctor Jailed Four Years
The Lusaka Magistrate Court has sentenced a 25-year-old man of Lusaka to four years and six months imprisonment with hard labour for masquerading as a medical doctor.
Magistrate Sheila Mweene noted that the offence which Bonaventure Ng’uni committed for impersonating a doctor working for Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital and the University Teaching Hospital-UTH was an insult to the Doctors’ profession.
Shortly before sentencing, Bonaventure stated that he was forced to commit such an offence due to lack of employment.
Bonaventure of George compound was facing four counts of impersonating a medical doctor and swindled a patient out of One Hundred and Sixty Kwacha at Levy Mwanawawa General Hospital.

The chap swindled many at UTH not just the medical student with laptops. Kindly may the relevant authorities take it up from UTH police post where there might have been more complaints pertaining to the same criminal so that the chap can be fixed more years in Prison.I call upon all those who were swindled by the same ‘Suntwe’ to report to any nearest police station. The should not even have asked for leniency as iam also reliably informed that he is an ex-convict.

That is what we call Idea generation,being creative,there are no jobs as promised,what do you do?you create one,Bonaventure was just right,in fact the punishment he has been given should be reconsidered,may it be reduced,why?he is the first offender,he spoke the truth,he didn’t deny the charges,Youth development funds are hard to access they are only applicable to youths who deal timbers but not every zambian youth is specialised or has an idea in timber,perhaps timber itself has become more and more restricted what to you expect,Zambian courts soon will be have more youths standing trials,cases you have never heard in zambia commited by youths,judges be wise enough to see the causes,more bandits,more masqueradings,more impersonating as long as their are no youth employment,their will be more crimes in zambia

I like bonaventure’s creativity…his sharp and hav given him a distinction…l feel court was unfair on him they could hav just released him…. Kabili nina 99 jobs chikilyatika itumba…

@ken u ar very right my bro.What i hv observed is that ba EIZ baluse sana to these self given titles at engineers.There ar the ones makng us failing to hv those positions they have because of juji no ku swata.EIZ Please go thru the companies twapapata.
