Luanshya Wife Jailed 6 Months For Assaulting Hubby’s Lover

A 35-YEAR-OLD housewife of Luanshya has been sentenced to six months simple imprisonment by the Luanshya Magistrate’s Court for assaulting and stripping naked her husband’s lover.
Magistrate Edward Banda on Tuesday jailed Given Shamfuti, 35, of house number 2, Second Class residential area, after she pleaded guilty to assault.
Shamfuti was jointly charged with a 17-year-old boy who denied the charge
It was alleged that Shamfuti and the boy, on February 1 this year in Luanshya, assaulted Olipa Mumbi.
Passing the sentence, Mr Banda said he was appalled by the trait of some married women taking the law into their own hands.
Mr Banda, however, warned Ms Mumbi to stay away from married men because she could either be beaten to death the next time around or contract a sexually transmitted infection.
“It is alarming to note the rate at which married women are taking the law into their own hands in dealing with issues concerning their marriages. But let me also warn the complainant that it is imperative that you stay away from married men because next time you may end up losing your life as a result of being battered or you may just contract a deadly sexually transmitted infection,” Mr Banda said.
He, however, said he had considered Shamfuti’s mitigation and the fact that she is a first offender who readily admitted the charge
“In this regard, I sentence you to six months simple imprisonment with effect from today,” Mr Banda said.
In mitigation, Shamfuti pleaded with the court to be lenient on her because she did not follow Ms Mumbi to the tavern but instead caught her having sex with her husband in their matrimonial house.
Shamfuti also submitted that she has three children who would suffer if she is sent to prison.
Facts before court were that on the fateful evening around 19:00 hours, Ms Mumbi was drinking beer at a named tavern in Luanshya when Shamfuti followed her and accused her of flirting with her husband.
The court heard that a fight ensued and Shamfuti pushed Ms Mumbi to the ground and later stripped her naked.
Ms Mumbi sustained injuries and reported the matter to Luanshya Central Police Station.
Mr Banda adjourned the case involving the juvenile to July 28 for commencement of trial.

The big problem here is men. Their wives end up in jail all because of them. Sometimes, these women end up suspicious even where there is nothing. I DO BELIEVE THAT A LIFE WITHOUT JESUS IS DISASTER!

This case should be appealed. How can the judge support the prostitute honestly? This is unfair. He should find his wife in bed in his own house we see what he can do. Bad judgment

@loose canon, my thought too. What would have been the judgement had the wife found hubby humping the hule & reported the matter to police?
Probably, she would have been told to sue the loose dikced husband.

Problem are
Women are too ignorant and uneducated to make their own money. Hubby is their only investment.
If the woman was educated and working she would have sued for divorce and continued with life.
Even the Bible describes a vituous woman as one that works. Some women want to sit at home have two kids, watch telemundo, cook and clean house then ration sex at night.
Men just go elsewhere and obtain sex since madam has turned it into a tradable commodity. He goes where the is a discount and better after sales service.
