Kabwe said chief Lukwesa, 75, died at the University Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

MHSRIP. He was a good man.I am touched. I worked with the late chief in the fight against early marriages among underaged girls. May his works be continued and appreciated by all

@those hope you realise that there are no Bembas in Luapula. After breaking up from MwataYamvo, Mwata Kazembe settled in Mwasabombwe and along with him came Bantu people with different dialects, eg, the Tabwa, Ushi, Lunda, etc. So the ones under MwataYmvo are the KaLundas not Lundas and are found in north west of Zambia. Bembas, Bisa’s etc are in Northern part.

@kakuyukmo, suffice to tell the unlearned kid that the Lundas of Northwestern & Lundas of Luapula Valley are one & the same. There are NO Bemba’s in Luapula. Check the regalia of the Chiefs in both areas. The dialects have ONLY differencieted over time & association.

@kakuyukmo, yes they may not be Bembas, but they are bemba speaking people. I think they have lost the Lunda language

@Boko Haram, I meant that the Lundas in Luapula are not Lunda speaking people, but bemba speaking people. I did not say they are Bembas. I just doubted the term “Lunda speaking” on them. So learn to read Boko Haram.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE AND I CAN BE GLAD TO HEAR FROM THE PEOPLE IN THE AREA THAT HE HAS ONLY ONE WIFE BECAUSE IT IS NOT COMMON TO CHIEFS TO HAVE ONE WIFE IT MEANS THAT THE CHIEF WAS MAYBE A CHRISTIAN GO WELL PAPA.

Extremely poor reporting: you quote the grandson as the source of your report and yet you close by stating that the chief is survived by four children and a wife!! What about the grandson you are attributing the report to? Shabby!!!
