Zambia U17 Run Riot In Botswana

The Zambia U17 national team on Friday evening taught their Tswana counter parts a footballing lesson when the whitewashed them 5 – 0 to qualify to the third round of the Niger 2015 Africa Youth Championship on a 6 – 0 aggregate scoreline.

Coach Chris Kaunda kept faith in the squad that played in the first leg as he made only one change to the starting line-up bringing in Gift Sikaonga for Edwin Chipile in midfield.

Zambia opened the scores in the 20th minute from the spot through scorer in the first leg Enock Mwepu before Pumulo Siwanga made it 2 – 0 in the 40th minutes for the young Zambians to go in the break with a comfortable lead.

It was one way traffic when play resumed and captain of the side Patson Daka scored twice before Gary Mwelwa added the icing on the cake in injury time with a fifth of the day.

Zambia will now play Uganda who advanced to the final round via a 7-2 aggregate scoreline following a 3-2 win over Rwanda today.

Zambia XI: Danny Sikanyika – Prosper Chiluya, Edward Chimfwembe, Salati Lungu, Wayne Museba – Gift Sikaonga (Edwin Chipile), Musonda Siame, Enock Mwepu, Kalale Changwe – Pumulo Siwanga, Patson Daka
