Malawi U-20 Coach Mtawali Wary Of Zambia

MALAWI under-20 coach Ernest Mtawali has described the junior Chipolopolo as “ruthless” ahead of Saturday’s 2015 Senegal Africa Junior Championship final round first leg.

And the Zambia under-20 team arrived in Blantyre yesterday, ahead of Saturday’s crucial match.
Mtawali said the junior Flames must finish off Zambia at home and avoid the away hustle.
“We can’t do the same against Zambia. They are ruthless and we need to win at home to enhance our chances of qualifying,” said the former Flames midfielder.
The junior Flames have developed a peculiar habit by winning away and drawing at home.
But according to Bnl Times, Mtawali has, however, warned his charges to utilise home ground advantage.
Malawi were held to a 1-1 draw by Botswana in the first round in Blantyre but beat the Tswanas 2-0 in the return leg in Gaborone to advance with a 3-1 aggregate.
In the second round, the junior Flames drew with DR Congo 2-2 at home but stunned the Congolese 2-0 in the return match in Kinshasa  to reach the final round with a 4-2 aggregate.
Mtawali said his charges were capable of winning at home but they need to be composed and must avoid putting themselves under pressure.
“We have also been working on their mind as well to give them a positive mindset ahead of the game,” he said.
Malawi were supposed to play Lesotho in a preparatory last Saturday, but the match was postponed at the eleventh hour because of financial constraints.
The junior Flames, however, played friendly matches with Super League sides Mighty Wanderers, whom they beat 2-1 and drew with Azam Tigers 2-2.
Zambia eliminated Mozambique 4-0 on aggregate to set up a showdown against Malawi.
The winners of the two-legged round will qualify for the 2015 Africa Youth Championship finals in Senegal.
The match is set to be played at Blantyre’s Kamuzu Stadium.

With the pressure on Zambia Under 20, I would suggest one thing, and one thing only. Beat them hands down, skin them and let them bleed to death. Ok not factually speaking…but beat them so that it will be impossible for them to win the return leg. Finito!
