Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has accused the Zambia Police Service of allegedly practicing selective justice after they arrested UPND Katuba Member of Parliament Jonas Shakafuswa in Mangango.
The Police this morning arrested Mr. Shakafuswa on accusation that he caused violence in Namafulo Ward when he stopped UPND supporters from damaging the District Commission’s vehicle.
But Mr. Hichilema says it is unacceptable that barely two days after the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), the Police and 31 political parties had a meeting and resolved that the Police should be fair in their dealings more especially during campaigns.
Mr. Hichilema has told QFM News in a telephone interview that the police have continued not to be helpful to the opposition and they are highly favoring the ruling party.
He explains that Mr. Shakafuswa was attacked by the PF cadres and instead of the police arresting the cadres they ended up arresting an innocent man who never caused any harm to the PF cadres.
Mr. Hichilema has accused the police of trying to arrest all the UPND officials just like they did in Livingstone where they arrested seventy plus UPND supporters.
He says the PF is using the police to disturb the elections in Mangango because they know that they are going to lose the polls.
The UPND Leader adds that the people of Zambia should refuse to be governed in such a way that they have no say over issues affecting them.

“Give a dog a bad name and hang it”…Unfortunately PF has always been associated with violence. It is difficult to imagine them sitting at akimbo while UPND are being violent; …..

IF SHAKAFUSWA HAD BEEN ASSAULTED AS HIS COMRADE IN ARMS, HH ALLEGES, WHY DID HE NOT GO TO REPORT TO THE POLICE? PF cadres are law abiding citizens and did not resort to vigilante behaviour when attacked by that thug. He belongs in jail.Violence is unacceptable from any citizen let alone members of parliament. UNPD get rid of this liability. If UNPD want some one to do their dirty work, this Katuba MP is their man. UNPD will need to find another candidate if the party wants a person of substance, to represent them in parliament and serve the people of Katuba.
IF NOT

If Hakainde was bitten by a rabid dog, he would report the incidence to Mutinta saying: ” Hey! Come & see where the dog DIDN’T bite me!!!” He lives in constant denial.

Yes exactly what happens there, here and everywhere else for that matter. Hate is a very bad vice. No wonder it was used only once in the bible from Genesis to Revelation.

We will cross the bridge when we get there…For now squabbles are not the only indicators that are to determine the victory of any party. If squabbles are to be used as an indicator, then it is worse for PF coz there has been a lot of squabbles as well…..
