People have spoken.Achievement by our Traffic Officers close to a year now.Only morning and in the evening that’s when they seem to work to control the flow of traffic.On that I could give them the KUDOS they deserve.
On the other hand we are losing a lot of working hours through unnecessary road blocks which are not benefiting any motorists.Fuel is very expensive….The police and RTSA have failed to contain the behaviour of mini bus drivers on our roads.They have failed to tell these bus drivers meaning of the bus station and bus stop hence we have congestion at Kabwe round about near ZRA,Longacres,Zesco fly over bridge,manda hill,arcades,northmead.Why can’t they go there and clean up the mess of violating of traffic rules?You cannot mount a road block during peak hours.What do these Officers do which doesn’t yield positive results everyday.That is CORRUPTION….

I am told they even do chilimba. They give each K3,000 per day. This explains why they cannot stop mounting unnecessary road blocks because if they stop, it means no more am K3,000 ya free.

I was once empounded by police for an expired drivers’ license at Chilanga Police and was charged K200; that was around 21 hours. I pleaded with them that I was going to renew it the following day to no avail. Then one police man took me outside the police station and told me that I am supposed to leave the car for that offence. I asked him what the K200 I had paid was for since it was not even receipted. He did not have an answer for that but he instead started making a pass at me touching my thighs and all that. I then came out of the car, gave him the keys and told him to get the car. He got scared and released me.

Be reminded that the Zambia Police service make the nation to sleep for a month or more every year. with simple maths when this simple and official obstacle to development stops a bus with 60 passers for a minute he or she does not realize that Zambia has lost an Hour as compared to china or any other country in the world. take it or leave it Zambia is loosing time in this way.

Wake up Zambians and cab this crime.
