Kitwe Woman Stones Hubby To Death
Police in Kitwe have arrested a 20-year-old woman who allegedly killed her husband by hitting him with a stone in the head.
Copperbelt police commissioner Joyce Kasosa said police had arrested Christine Mwenya for allegedly killing her husband identified as Isaac Makamu, 31, after the two had an altercation when they were returning from a drinking spree in Kitwe’s Mindolo Township around the area called Armcor.
“The facts are that the two had gone drinking and they started fighting. The wife hit the husband with a stone in the head and that’s how he started bleeding in the nose and died instantly. This happened around 15:00 hours on Friday. The body is in Kitwe Central Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem and the wife of the deceased is in custody,” Kasosa said.
