Community Development Mother and Child Health Minister Emerine Kabanshi has downplayed the rift in the Patriotic Front top leadership over the presidency.
Ms. Kabanshi has told Qfm news in an interview that there is no serious fighting among Cabinet Ministers as is being portrayed by the media.
Ms. Kabanshi says all Cabinet Ministers are seriously working to deliver the best to the Zambian people who put them in office.
She however states that there is no family which can stay without differences, adding that what is happening in the ruling party is only making the party stronger.
Meanwhile Ms Kabanshi has reaffirmed government’s commitment to work closely with all
stakeholders to enhance community systems in the country.
Speaking during the dissemination meeting for research findings on community based volunteers this morning; Ms Kabanshi says the research is timely and that there is need for all stakeholders to work to their very best.
Ms .Kabanshi says the ministry is seriously working to enhance cooperation and collaboration amongst the departments of community development mother and child health and social welfare.
Ms. Kabanshi states that this is in order to strengthen community systems and also improve the coordination and utilization of community based volunteers in order to attain better service provision in the communities.
She has also commended the UK department for International Development (DFID) for the continued support to the ministry by facilitating the research.
The research findings show that over hundred volunteers are currently working in different communities in the country.
