Kabimba Fails To Address Journalists
Former Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba this morning kept Journalist in Kitwe waiting for long hours for a planned media briefing which never took place.
Journalists were made to wait for close to three at Kitwe’s Edinburgh Hotel were Mr Kabimba was supposed to address them following his dismissal by President Michael Sata yesterday, in a move that shocked most people.
The anxiously waiting scribes constantly told by one man that the former PF strongman would be coming to address them until it became clear that the briefing would not take place.
There was no information as to why the highly anticipated press briefing by Mr Kabimba was cancelled.
President Sata fired Mr Kabimba yesterday while he was on a campaign trail in North Western province where he had gone to drum up support for the PF candidates in the Zambezi West and Solwezi central parliamentary by-elections.
His sacking sparked celebrations in Lusaka among Patriotic Front cadres whose attempt last year to have Mr Kabimba removed from position through street demonstrations failed.

@Truly Zambian, so you just assume that Mr. Sata did not investigate before he acted? Were you expecting him to first inform you in person that he is investigating Kabimba before he fired him? Your reasoning capacity fails to rise above even that of a common garden snail.

Wynter has failed to write a press statement because he does not know what to say. He is still shocked. I’m told the first draft was like’ i’m still a minister of justice and PF SG. On second thought he realised this would be treasonable. the second draft was like ‘i’m going to form a political party.. on the second thoought he realised he probably only have the Post and Mmember to support him. even his own village has rejected him twice.. So will take time before he know what to say.

winter should just thank the appointing authority for having given him the opportunity.otherwise ,whatever,he had was for michael.all those servin in the gvt are ther because of MCS.
He should acknowledge that he made mistakes,by scheming to take over power,from the cobra.the cobra maybe sick,but the vernon is still potent.
he is an experienced politician,a tactician and has experience from the 60′s the only people who could term the cobra ,were kk and ftj.he can lie low,but he is surely a serpernt.kabimba,under estimated his closesness with cobra thinking,he was untouchable.
