These are the consequences of drinking instead of being home as a responsible and honourable woman.

Let’s hope you have learnt your lesson.Muleya na ku Church bane.

You need to teach your men to not be monsters, rather than telling your women to hide at home.

SEXUAL predators run rampant today, and young people are often the target of their attack.

I am a woman, but I will not support her. At 22 hours and drunk, how could she identify them? They could have been drinking together. Why move alone for the men to follow her? It was an arrangement with one and then the others banakumbwila.

Anybody should be allowed to be out and about at any hour without interference of any kind. You put power into the hands of bullies and rapists, by giving them a justification for their barbaric and totally unacceptable behaviour. Shame on you!

Fyabupuba… ni hule chabe. Even me I fear for my life driving at night what more a woman walking drunk at 22hrs?! Whataphack! She was drinking with them and most likely they were the ones sponsoring her the whole night it was just a payback time.

This one is for Ba Tumfweko why do you always say “drinking spree” There is no witness who saw the woman that she was on a SPREE, a spree is more of a rampant activity or unusual activity, in this case beer spree she should have been to all the bars in the neighbourhood drinking nonstop or any alcohol she comes across but the story says she just came from a bar!

    • Nobody asks to be raped   September 22, 2014 at 4:36 pm

Unfortunately this is a problem worldwide that the victims of sexual violence should not of dn this or that. Only the culprits are to blame!!

      • Judge Joe Bidden   September 22, 2014 at 4:51 pm

I take it you are a woman, am not a sexists but let me ask you only a few:

        1. Why should a ‘normal’ and respectable woman go drink up to 10pm alone?
        2. Why should she walk home ALONE at that time?
        3. Yes no woman is deserved to be raped, but does this woman really know consequences of being raped, we arent even talking about HIV here yet?! If she respected herself and taking care of her life she wouldnt ve gone against question 1 and 2 above.

That is your view from your country. Please be aware that there are countries and places where a teenager can be out in complete safety at 2 am. The difference is that these are civilized countries.

She’s not to blame that she got raped but it goes without saying that the gang that attacked her would have attacked someone else if she hadn’t been there…

In a country where gang rape is common place I’d certainly advise young women NOT to travel alone late in the evening & protect yourself by avoiding dangerous locations / situations.

Are you suggesting that all Zambian women should be indoors & at home after dark. This so that men would fcuk each other in the backside in private, ka!?

  14. When will women stopped being blamed for men who can't control the urge to keep it in their pants? Women are not the problem!!!   September 22, 2014 at 4:54 pm

she was fulled by a friend who has money and was advised to sleep with a mentally disturbed man and pick his lice infested pant and give him her pant so that the more lice the more money, according reliable sources there was no gang raping and the distance between were she was coming from dinking either shake shake or chibuku and her home is very near its less than 200m.ni pa tarven mwebantu.

  21. IF NOT   September 23, 2014 at 9:53 am

There must be freedom of movement, whether the young lady went to drink in the morning, afternoon, evening or night does not matter. i guess she drank responsibly and was getting home when attacked. These rapists, if they had money could have gone to pick up prostitutes on the streets. The so called wife materials are the same ones who misbehaves in functions like kitchen parties.Who knows maybe she was just sent to check on someone at the bar/tavern and ended up been a victim.

  22. Musonda Mutale   September 23, 2014 at 2:16 pm

“NOBODY ASKS TO BE RAPED” you are the most sensible person regarding comments here. A woman going to drink even at 22 hours or 0300 hrs MUST NOT BE RAPED. RAPE IS BARBARIC.

    • Nobody asks to be raped   September 23, 2014 at 6:27 pm

Kitwe townships are a security risk, you will never see any Police officer or vehicle whether day or night anywhere, in fact thieves have field days everyday in CHACHACHA, Miseshi and Mindolo.
