Police in Lusaka have detained former motivational speaker Mubita Nawa for fraudulently obtaining money from a client.
Lusaka Province police commissioner Lemmy Kajoba said Nawa received K15,000 from his client to purchase a car which to date had not been delivered.
“Mr Mubita Nawa has a Facebook page where he advertises himself as a car dealer. So sometime last year, he dealt with some people who paid him K15,000 for a car, but up to now, the car has not been delivered and the money has not been paid back. So it is these people that decided to report him to the police. The frauds department of the police is handling the matter and the man is currently in detention. We detained him on Friday,” said Kajoba, who could not give further details as he could not reach the officer who was handling the case.
On September 18, Nawa on his Facebook page announced that he was retiring from motivational speaking.
“I wish to thank the people of Zambia for the support they have rendered to me and my motivational business for the past 14 years. Today I wish to announce that I am stepping down from my public life as a motivational speaker. This is to allow me to focus on my family and on private matters. Thank you and God bless,” read Nawa’s message.

I do not like this guy, he is a conman. After reaping from motivational speaking, he now retires.I used to be disgusted about their (with Chibamba Kanyama) talks on wealth creation, when they themsevles are not rich and will never be.

A man can fall 7 times and rise again… We all do make mistakes… the biggest mistake is not to learn from mistakes… Rise up man. For a change i refuse to pull any1 down.
