The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in Lusaka have charged that the people who were spreading rumors that President Michael Sata has died have been put to shame following his return back home yesterday.
PF Mandevu Constituency Chairman Moses Makasa says there is need for people to adhere to Christian principles of caring from one another unlike spreading falsehood information.
Mr. Makasa has told QFM News in an interview that only God has the power and authority to claim a life and that God loves President Sata and wants him to continue developing Zambia.
Mr. Makasa says it is worrying that some individuals are wishing the Head of State dead instead of wishing him good and long life because of the agenda he has for the nation.
He says the people should be putting President Sata in their prayers that with long life God will grant him more wisdom to govern the nation.

If the truth about the president is told at all times, such silly rumours can be avoided. People speculate because the Government has a tendency of hiding certain information like the state of health of the president. This should not be the case. The president’s life is supposed to be in the limelight because he is the head of state and we are entitled to know what goes on in his social, political and matters to do with his health. True, painful true, but true nevertheless.

To wish another dead should be condemned by all. But important also is to pass a clear prayer request not mixing it with no the big man is just fine. How do people pray that way? But we still do using what we know not what we hear because sometimes its like we are being fed half truth.

@Cool temple…Point of correction. Sata te mfumu you understand? This is the problem most African presidents have. They look at that sit as though it is a royal sit. No sooner do we vote them into power than they start acting life mfumus who are untouchable…This should not be the case. Zambia is not a monarch. Sata is a president and his life should be in the limelight for all to see and scrutinize. The day he was voted to presidency is the day he gave away his private life. He does not have a private life anymore. His speech, his movements, what he eats, what he dresses are subject to be commented whether you or him like it or not. If he wants to lead a private life, let him step down and we will leave him alone. But as long as we feed and dress him up, he doesn’t have a private life….Wamvela iwe chi Cool Temple…..
