Video:Kuwaiti Cop Caught Abusing Expat

A Kuwaiti police officer was caught on camera abusing an Asian man at the police station, prompting action by authorities in the oil-rich Gulf emirate.

A short YouTube film showed the cop ordering the man to do push-up exercises as he started to punch and kick him in the back and waist.

Newspapers said the ministry of interior immediately suspended the unnamed officer after seeing the film.

“The ministry of interior does not accept this behavior which is an individual case that does not reflect the work of the police force. The ministry will take the necessary measures against the officer after it completes investigation of the case.”

The papers did not identify the Asian nor did they say whether he is a prisoner.
