NOMSA NKANA, Lusaka
THE stage was set and the Olympic Youth Development Centre was bursting at the seams with an ecstatic crowd that gathered for the Zambia Miracle Night on Friday.
Crowds thronged OYDC as people clamoured for the tight space not wanting to miss a touch from God.
Amid the euphoria, Prophet Uebert Angel trotted up the stage and raising the microphone, he shouted, ‘Zambia you are blessed’.
Shouts of ‘Amen’, ‘I receive it’ rang through the warm arena as people raised their hands.
A few minutes after taking stage, Prophet Angel, fondly known as ‘Major’, briskly came down and walked among the people prophesying.
Prophet Angel, who is founder of Spirit Embassy Churches worldwide and Miracle TV, is known for ‘forensic’ prophesy, healing miracles, signs and wonders.
As he ministered, the prophet encouraged everyone to worship God and not to look to him.
“It’s God who will transform your lives. I’m simply an instrument in his hands,” he said.
Throughout the night, there were testimonies of healings performed through the prophet.
A scream echoed as a man overtaken with awe testified how God had just healed him after 14 years of deafness.
This sent the crowd into frenzy as more people declared that they had been healed.
A team of medical personnel from the Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) was invited to verify the miracles by conducting tests and comparing results with their previous medical reports.
As the night wore on countless other miracles were recorded among which, high blood pressure was normalised.
People received miracle money in their pockets and airtime in their phones as the Prophet declared supernatural miracles.
The miracle combo left the crowd begging for more when the prophet left OYDC in the early hours of Saturday morning.
And in his tweets, prophet Angel said, “Thank you Zambia for receiving me and my God, Jehovah. Zambia Miracle Night was a night of ‘ridiculous’ miracles”.
And ZRCS para-medic Benson Phiri has confirmed that people who were diagnosed with various ailments were later reported healed after the prophet prayed for them.
Mr Phiri said his organisation, combined with other medical personnel, was at the Miracle night to provide medical services.
According to Mr Phiri, the medical team first had to diagnose patients before they could be prayed for.
He said after the prophet prayed for the people, they were required to go back to the medical team to be re-examined after which it was established that the ailments were gone.
Mr Phiri said his team diagnosed cases of high and low blood pressure, diabetes, HIV and a case of deafness.
“Yes, I can confirm that after prayer, we re-examined them and their ailments had gone,” he said.

My people are truly lost. Miracle money and airtime??? Really??? If the story had been on medical miracles- yes I would have believed. But as the book of Ecclesiastes says (I paraphrase)…a little foolishness can wipe away great wisdom just as a fly will destroy the good scent of perfume.
