NOMSA NKANA, Lusaka
IN ORDER to protect his children from abuse by their step-mother, a man has decided to divorce his wife, he says, he found beating and spitting saliva in the mouth of his son.
The Lusaka man complained that his wife’s behaviour is so bad that even a pastor he took her to for prayers failed to deliver her.
This was heard before justices David Phiri, Moses Phiri, and Mukuka Ng’andwe in a case where Kelvin Tembo of John Laing dragged his wife Gladys Mutale, 31, also of John Laing to court for divorce.
Phiri said after two years of marriage, his wife started abusing his children.
“One day, I found her pinching the cheeks of my son and also asked him to open his mouth after which she spat saliva in his mouth,” he said.
Phiri said he reported her to her family, which annoyed Mutale who later decided to pay back the bride price telling him the marriage was over.
With that, she moved out but returned home when she failed to pay her bills, said Tembo.
But in July this year, she got all household items and went to visit her family in Kasama.
Phiri said when he couldn’t take it anymore, he decide to sue for divorce.
And in her testimony, Mutale denied any problems in their marriage and said if the children had found fault with her, they would have long gone.
Mutale told Tembo she was not going to divorce him as he is to her like a father and mother.
Justice Phiri asked her to step down from the dock and walk over to Tembo to ask for forgiveness.
Mutale walked over, knelt down and said, “Where will I go, you are my father and mother. Forgive me. I won’t leave you.”
The two embraced and Justice Phiri adjourned the matter to 0ctober 7, 2014 to give the couple and their families reconcile.

The woman is a devil worshipper..going to such an extent?
Suppose it was your son who was treated like that (especially that you are about to be divorced).Would you be happy to hear the would- be step mother to your children treating them like what you did. Shame upon you.

Forgiveness is what the Bible tells us and please forgive her. What the Bible doesn’t tell us is to accept back or take back. Let that step mother go away and repent, give her life to Jesus and once she’s got through deliverance, she will know that someone’s child is everyone’s child. Spitting on someone or in someone’s mouth is very evil. Bakalamba, satana wamwanakashi uyo mulekeni aleya. Soooooo many women are looking for marriages. Let her go and get married to the devil himself because that’s where she comes from. Pantu umuntu umukulu uwakwata amano must know what’s wrong and what’s right. And my brother ur a man! Your children are your lineage. Not that spitting Egyptian cobra u married.

Forgiveness is what God teaches us to do when we are wronged. It is safe to get the woman back because the man will have every space to take action on mistakes. That woman should know her husband’s cake.

Chinangwa sana uyu mayo. How dare you spit on a child! Those children should be cherished as they will remember your unkindness and repay you back with the same measure.
Tata ba Tembo, you are a very good man to have embraced her when she apologised. Ensure you hold a family meeting where she should apologise to your whole household for her conduct.
Women, stop spreading negtivity such as cruelity to children, cheating on husbands, over indulgence in alcohol, etc. All that is negative has a negetive consequence. Learn to be positive, building your homes with love, pampering your husbands, your children, welcoming his relatives when they visit and all things good because you will have better homes, be healthy, enjoy, laugh and have a soulmate for a husband.
