Zambia has moved 10 places up on the latest World football rankings released by FIFA in Zurich on Thursday.
The Chipolopolo Boys have climbed from their lowest ranking ever at 88th position in the World last month to occupy 78th position in the world.
The jump is Zambia’s biggest rise after being in free-fall for the last ten months.
However, Zambia stay put at number 20 in Africa despite the side’s improvement on the charts.
Zambia’s improved showing is thanks to their recent scoreless away draw and 3-nil home win over Niger in their 2015 Africa Cup Group F doubleheader qualifier against Niger on October 11th and 15th respectively.
However, Zambia is the second highest ranked Group F team after pool leaders Cape Verde who are 33rd in the World and number four in Africa.
Mozambique, who are tied on five points in Group F with Zambia, have risen 12 places to 97th.
The two sides meet in their penultimate Group F qualifier away on November 15 in Maputo.
Niger is 121st after dropping 14 places following their winless run in their Group F qualifying campaign.

We need to do more,Zambia is a long standing team on the football history then it has to improve because Cape Verde can’t be beating us like this even in Fifa ranking.
