A 24-year-old man of Siavonga was on Friday caught having sex with a chicken by his girlfriend.
Fredy Miyoba, a charcoal burner of Chizilika village, was found with the chicken in his bathroom around 18:00 hours.
Luke Chimuka, who went to Miyoba’s house after being alerted by the latter’s girlfriend, said the accused was drunk when the incident happened.
“The man who seemed unshaken insisted that the chicken was his and that he had the right to do whatever he wished with it,” Chimuka said.
It was however discovered that the chicken, which later died, belonged to Miyoba’s neighbour.
Chimuka said Miyoba told the villagers that he decided to have sex with the chicken as part of celebrations to mark Zambia’s golden jubilee.
Miyoba was detained by members of the community who locked him up in a house, but he untied himself and ran away around 20:00 hours.
Siavonga police were not aware of the incident by press time and could not comment on the matter.
