Bobby East, Ruth Convicted

Lusaka-based musician Robert Chunga popularly Known as Bobby East and his co accused Ruth Mukanga have been convicted for making obscene materials.

Bobby East, 25, and Ruth, 21, have been found guilty of producing or making obscene materials tending to corrupt morals and judgment in the matter has been reserved for November 7, 2014.

Lusaka Magistrate Mwaka Mikalile convicted the duo after Robert and Ruth pleaded guilty to the charge.

The duo was arrested after the obscene video the two filmed themselves in a sexual act went viral on the Internet.

And in mitigation the two informed the court that they were first offenders and apologized to the Zambians.

Meanwhile, the Lusaka Magistrate Court has set January 26, 2014 as the date for continued trial in the matter in which Former President Rupiah Banda is charged with abuse of authority of office.

Seems the people of Zambia have nothing better to do with their time. Indians and Lebanese…etc.. businesses are open!
I can never imagine myself queueing up under the hot sun to go and see a dead president! Never ever in this life time.
