Political Analyst Alex Ng’oma has advised the ruling Patriotic Front to consider adopting its presidential candidate through a general conference if unity and continuity in the party is to be sustained.
Dr. Ng’oma has however told QFM News in a telephone interview that both resources and time are the worst enemies for the ruling party at the moment.
Dr. Ng’oma says the PF should be strategic in whatever they are doing knowing very well that anything out of hand might divide the party.
He stresses the need for the ruling party to follow procedure that will produce a leader who will be accepted and respected by the majority membership.Ngoma
Dr Ng’oma adds that there is also need for the Patriotic Front to adhere to its constitution so that there is no room for divisions in the party.
The Political Scientist has since advised the ruling party to see to it that they sit down and strategize on how they will produce a salable candidate.
Meanwhile, former Open Society Foundation Executive Director, Sunday Chanda, has told QFM News in a separate interview that the ruling PF should follow what the MMD did in 2011 by avoiding a convention.
Mr. Chanda has noted that time is the enemy for the PF at the moment and that going for a convention will not help the ruling party’s quest to stay in power.

Government is not there for you leaders to have personal interests, it is there for you to lead and fulfill the needs of the people.
Some politicians want to start buying and bribing students and other youths they want to use for violence as they start to campaign..

“Alex Ng’oma has advised the ruling Patriotic Front to consider adopting its presidential candidate through a general conference…” This is the BEST advice so far I have heard concerning our now slippery political landscape. Let PF people choose a leader than politicians choosing themselves.

Ignorance of the worst kind all you know are insults.Kaponya type,we understand.Independence struggle was against the british colonialists who are GUY SCOTS parents.I know you may not know these facts because they are taught in class and not on the streets where you spend all time.Enrol for night school and take a history or civics course, then you will know that scotland is part of our colonial masters(britain).

Perfect advise Mr. Ngoma. People should realise that democracy isn’t cheap. Regardless of the amount of money involved, they just have to go the convention way or else no one will have credibility in them. It is not about them but us the electorates. What is their problem?
