Let Lungu and his supporters stay away from the general conference since they do not want it. Us who want it should proceed. Dr. Guy Scott should ensure the general conference proceeds. We are ready to go there and vote for Miles and whoever else may want to stand if Miles will be unopposed so be it.

I think Guy Scott is right on this one looking at the PF constitution. My only unanswered question is why Edgar Lungu and the group are so much in a hurry and want to take shorts. What is it that they are trying to hide. A piece of advice, a presidential candidate to be chosen by Edgar Lungu and group way will be very difficult for the PF party to sale. If Eddie thinks he’s popular why object to the general convention of the party which has a national representation of the party. This rush make me smell a big RAT

God wants a Leader of a SOBER CHARACTER.And this is not about OPINION POLLS,This is a serious issue requiring serious reflections.Edgar may have been Sata’s favorite, but that is no seal.In 2008,we were told,Mwanawasa would have loved Magande to replace him,but RB came on.So stop cheating yourself.

for by yo words u will be justified, and by yo words u will be condemned”.Stop insulring people. It bad. This same Lungu u are insulting is more likely to be the next president than anyone else.I will accept whoever God will give us.

Edgar made some very critical points on why the Conference may not favour PF to win the Election:

    1. The PF have no luxury of time to select a leader as late as 29 November as suggested by the Acting President.
    2. It is a well known fact in Zambian politics that convention divide parties, Like UPND came out of the Convention with two Parties UPND Proper and LP led by Sakwiba Sikota. looking at the behavour of PF cadres, people will kill each other at the convention and the objective of choosing a leader may not be attained.

In times of crisis like this, the PF board (which is the central Committee should seat and chose the route that will sustain the party beyond Sata’s legacy.

The PF will die if they go to the convention and some of the candidates will be prevented to go there and the possibility of bloodshed is very high at the conference.

That’s fear mongering why is he avoiding the democratic process? Why doesn’t he want another person or people stand for people to choose, Why only him on ballot made by his gang? It reminds me of Hitler same path before the world could spell mississippi people were being gased!

This issue of drinking beer should not even be put to the equation, lets face 70-80% of Zambians above 18 citizens drink lungu is not the first person to drink beer. am finding it hard to understand why Guy Scott and those who are supporting the move to go to convention if they really understand the current political climate, in times like these the convention will only divide the party, the issue of cadres has destroyed our political system, but its like Dr Guy Scott is failing to understand that and the reasons why leaves much to be desired.

How can following the constitution divide the party?Of course there may be confusion here and there but the idea is choose one person democratically. Then everyone should rally behind that person.I cannot support Edgar because he was left acting;he has to earn it!Sata earned it. Who says he is the best candidate?what is he offering?Lets be mature;this is not about legacy, continuity or play.Even RB preached legacy but what did he do?

Edgar Lungu, like many Malawians living in Zambia are very power hungry people. He is going to walk over cemeteries smply with the aim of getting the presidency. In fact his actions together with his stooges to force meetings in State House without respecting the current but powerless acting President Scott is tantamount to a coup. Which we Zambians can never accept.
