Villy – Oliseh John Odili – says Africans have put up with bad government for too long. They should protest more, like people in other parts of the world.
Villy is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter, who splits his time between Lagos and Accra. He sings in Igbo, Yoruba, Pidgin and English.
His anger at what he sees as complacency inspired Make Me Mad, the song he performs with his group, the Xtreme Volumes, for BBC Africa Beats.
Inspired by a variety of artists, his sound reflects rock, soul, hip hop, jazz and African influences. Villy is bucking the digital trend and putting his energies into delivering strong live performances based on good old fashioned musicianship.

In well fuctioning Goverments even stray pets like cats & dogs get food allowance without wasting time. If yours is failing to feed the future citizens of the country you might as well hand it over to the Chinese and Indian who send their children with enough food money, while Zambian peoples money go to State funerals and family trips for the elite!! tsk.. tsk..
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right (3 x)
Get up, stand up, do n’t give up the fight
Preacher man do n’t tell me heaven is under the earth
I know you do n’t know what life is really worth
Is not all that glitters in gold and
Half the story has never been told
So now you see the light, aay
Stand up for your right. Come on
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, do n’t give up the fight
Most people think great God will come from the sky
Take away ev’rything, and make ev’rybody feel high
But if you know what life is worth
You would look for yours on earth
And now you see the light
You stand up for your right, yeah!
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, do n’t give up the fight
Get up, stand up. Life is your…
He must be a comitted sober policeman to manage to arrest a boy without others, bcoz ba police are used to work in groups ngabakutitila abengi kuti wafwa no kufwa. And ka student also scared fearing for his life fyanshi mubako kuma protest

Life is your right
So we can ‘t give up the fight
Stand up for your right, Lord, Lord
Get up, stand up. Keep on struggling on
Do n’t give up the fight
We’re sick and tired of your ism and skism game
Die and go to heaven in Jesus’ name, Lord
We know when we understand
Almighty God is a living man
You can fool some people sometimes
But you can ‘t fool all the people all the time
So now we see the light
We gonna stand up for our right
So you’d better get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, do n’t give up the fight
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, do n’t give up the fight

Has the riot pattern changed that much? In our time, twalesamwa before ulya uwamano talapunda ati “chaaarge!”. Abaleponoka were those in rooms. Chaps like the one with squeezed balls ninshi fili namukalundu, kalingalinga etc.
But the issue of allowances should not be reason to subject these youths to such? By his grimace, katwishi nga akafyala nokufyala umwaice.
