when we accept to say police officers standard of education and training is substandard we shall develop. Many members of parliament would disagree to this notion (George Kunda once proposed). this is a true depiction of the reality to say employ collage and university graduates to fill in the positions of police officers and then send them for police training we shall have better qualified officers in leadership who shall instill discipline and follow the rule of law.six months training and after some years you are police chief what caliber will you posses “one would wounder”. today we suffer at the hands of police officers then the help we ought to get from them what a shame to us all Zambia we are still backwards.sorry to say this today their is no distinction between some officers and criminals.
