Nevers Mumba Vows To Fight Back

SUSPENDED MMD president Nevers Mumba has vowed to fight his opponents within the party until his “last drop of blood” to ensure that the party’s constitution is followed to the letter.
And Dr Mumba says the MMD and the United Party for National Development (UPND) have reached an advanced stage towards finding a common ground with a possibility of forming a coalition.
Meanwhile, MMD national secretary Muhabi Lungu says he regrets not having been firm against Dr Mumba on party regulations, reports STEVEN MVULA.
Speaking when he addressed pastoral students at Kaniki Bible College in Ndola yesterday, Dr Mumba said there is no legal basis for the decision by his party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) to suspend him for alleged misconduct when he had a right not to endorse former President Rupiah Banda as MMD president.
“Out of conflict comes victory. I have joined the political process to change politics and not to do politics. There is no legal basis for what has happened,” he said.
Dr Mumba likened himself to the biblical David who conquered Goliath during the war between the Israelites and the Philistines even though David was smaller in stature.
He said he is the appointed person to drive Zambia out of its current crisis.
Dr Mumba called for support during “this trying moment”.
“There is no provision in the MMD constitution for anyone to stand except for the sitting president. My appeal to every Zambian is to follow the constitution to the core or we will become a banana country,” Dr Mumba said amidst cheers from the students.

Parties with internal wrangles like MMD and PF should be barred from contesting in the forth coming election, because its clear that those at the head of these wrangles only want to serve and save themselves and not the nation.

Dr. Mumba this is good leadership you have displayed. Continue for the benefit of mother Zambia. The route of working with your friends in UPND is the best way to go as your MMD has serious challenges to convince the Zambians to vote for you independently. You are assured of beating the PF with their power struggle they are facing. Never be discouraged, we hope it is a party decision and not yours alone. If it is MMD decision then your preferred group leader has my vote and many other Zambians who are investing for the future. Go Nevers Go with the plans of forming a united team for the benefit of mother Z. The good news is that you have swallowed your pride. Now do not waste time, come out in the open and let Zambians know.

I’m not MMD but I support Dr. Mumba, RB and other selfish MMD members needs to understand that there is not presidential vacancy in the MMD, PF has a vacancy because Sata died simple to understand, therefore fighting for who should succeed Sata is very very normal just like a family will fight when possessions are left without a Will & its normal to know who is interested

ba Barotse Buffalo; what about a party with a quota system? why should it be given preference when its rules only favor particular tribes? what will stop them from introducing a quota system in the republican constitution? Because of this so-called quota system, we’re seeing a wamuyaya element. Just concentrate on campaigning for your party, otherwise you may find yourself failing lamentably to make it again.

As soon as they have Tonga chiefs, indunas and mps in their NEC so that they can all say “ONLY A TONGA CAN BE PRESIDENT OF THIS LOUSY PARTY” Then, and only then, will they go for their convention. Presently, they are afraid that Nalumango, Kakoma or Canicius may challenge Hichibwamba Hichatekateka.

Nevers has forgotten what he did to Major Kachingwe. A few day ago he was gonna be thrown out of the secretariat had it not been for quick intervention of the police.

The other problem with Nevers is that he feels his is APPOINTED. By who? That aside, RB and his stooge Muhabi Lungu (ka muselela kwakaba) are not treating the former pastor with the respect that he deserves.
