Suspended Scott Not Ready To Reconcile –PF Central Committee

An emergence Central Committee meeting comprising the 27 members has resolved that Acting President Guy Scott remains suspended and that they will consider names of presidential applicants tomorrow.
And the much anticipated Patriotic Front (PF) Central Committee meeting that was supposed to take place this afternoon at State House failed to take place.
The Committee has also resolved that any meeting held and chaired by Dr. Scott will be considered illegal as he remains suspended.
They also restated that the 16 that who were purported to be suspended remain bona-fide holders and members of the Central Committee because Dr. Scott who suspended the 16 remains a suspended official and the Committee was waiting for his letter of exculpation.Hon Lungu
Earlier discussions between Dr. Scott and Justice Minister Edgar Lungu’s Camp resolved that the meeting would take place that would include the suspended officials in the spirit of reconciliation.
However when the 27 arrived at State House this afternoon, they found that 11 of their colleagues were barred entry and abandoned the meeting in solidarity.
But later Dr. Scott gathered PF Secretary General Bridget Atanga, Southern Province Minister Daniel Mukombwe, Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili, Chongwe Member of Parliament Syvia Masebo, Local Government and Housing Minister Emmanuel Chenda, Anthony Kasolo, Home Affairs Deputy Minister Nixon Chilangwa, Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Miles Sampa, Lusaka Province Minister Philip Kosamu, Home Affairs Minister Ngosa Symbyakula and Geoffrey Chumbwe among others.

Very unprofessional and childish what Lungu kapuli is doing this party issue is likely to spill on national level. If Sata knew Lungu well he wouldnt have even left him acting, he must be regretting in his grave. MHSRIP.

They act lawlessly, they suspend the acting president, he suspends them and when they feel the heat they cry foul. How can they suspend the president and complain that he is not allowing them to attend a meeting he has called? Why do they want to attend it if they are not recognizing him?

I have, with immediate effect, withdrawn my support for Edgar Lungu candidature.
His an unpatriotic, and an ungrateful characteristics is a strange behaviour among us, sons of Eastern province.
Had the late gallant son of Zambia, HE MCS seen this childish behaviour, he would not have wasted his resilience by appointing him as PF GS.
He has proved too small to fit Wynter’s shoes.

Here is how I look at it. This is an opinion and might not be true. The P.F M.Ps and part of the central committee endorses Lungu, assumably for Jobs; and since they feel Lungu would be easy to sell as they are riding on SATA’S name. They feel since people liked President SATA, they can easily sell Lungu by saying he is a preferred candidate as he was given three powerful posts.
Meanwhile Scot is chosen, they accept as they are sure he is deserves it. Scot is privy to a lot of info by virtue of his position. He is even told by others that they would want to stand and they have to follow the constitution as P.F has a democratic constitution. Since Scot is under pressure he has to follow the Constitution. Lungu’s people hit back, and hell erupts. Scot is left alone to fight.

You tried to put into picture, but why doesnt Lungu go thru the normal constitution way? I agree with you these MPs are merely job seekers who definitely cant perform looking at how already corrupt they are. Also my view is Sata never really knew Edgar Lungu. If he displayed this behavior before he would ve been long fired without a notice – we all knew Sata

I feel this CARTEL might not be their. It is in the minds of the politicians to fight everyone of their it enemies. It is like what is said in the compounds that that Munkoyo brew moves fast cause they use a dead persons hand instead of a cooking stick for steering. EVIDENCE; NOTHING. But the story moves like fire. Another one is that, ‘ in that shop things move a lot because a dead person stands on the door to call the customers. A DEAD PERSON? Shallow minded chaps buy into it! NO EVIDENCE!!Yes, shallow minded chaps. WE WANT EVIDENCE, even akanono!!!!

Surely you support Scot? Why the heck would he “lock out” members if the central committee from entering State House grounds. Some of you are really babies!! Do you recall how MMD locked out Gen Miyanda at the rock? That is what Scot did at state house & he will do it at the rock. People, the nation has spoken, It is Lungu Edgar. Ask ministers that have gone round recruiting delegates for Kabwe.!!!!

    November 24, 2014 at 12:04 am

Joe Biden….. The ones who are playing a game is Guy Scott and Fred with Rajan….thats who I meant. Not Edgar and team. Edgar and his group are merely fighting the cartel and their evil plan. The main interest of Fred and Rajan is not who rules because they care about Zambia…. their main interest is protecting their businesses thats why they have more than one person they are pushing and also they will sabotage PF and move to HH if thats what it will take to protect their businesses

The cartel is definitely real.it happens even in developed countries. Just think of how Mmembe brought down RB and he supported Sata(MHSRIP) and later benefited in terms of business and tax rebates. Think of how Sata favored Rajani for supporting his campaign. These people have business interests which they want to protect. They need a user friendly president in the name of Dr Kaseba. She is under pressure to stand and protect the empire..Guy Scott is the Godfather in this arrangement.

          November 24, 2014 at 9:30 am

Membe is a human being who can take sides because of business interests, public opinion, wanting to see justice or greediness. It is up to people to see through it. Same applies to Mahtani. He can sponsor any candidate. But there is no evidence that these guys have formed a cartel. And by the look of things MEMBE stood with SATA through out his presidency and never questioned any of his decisions. This is what brought suspicions in people that Membe was compromised. This is because people had regarded Membe as one who calls a Spade a spade and was always praising our dear President. This is what brought suspicions. This is what I know. Now say yours

l wonder if edgar endosed himself. our opinions ‘re full character assasination ‘n hatred. da only thin gud about lungu is dat he is attacked based on his drinkin habit which he can control not regionism. ‘n de other thin, why is lungu being attacked so much, what about de other 9 candidates? leave lungu alone ‘n wait 4 da conference. HH has a green light, he may win this time but lets not use character assasnation to justify other candidates. he who has no ‘ka musango’ must throw da first stone.

Sometimes you wonder the mind of bloggers, Edgar team might be at fault, but also the look at the attitude of Scott, he is not helping or showing leadership at all. Has PF no secretariat for them to be using State House? Why was Dr Scott with Dr kaseba when she said Data didn’t anoint anyone later she announced her candideture. Because Dr Scott seems to have a camp is what is feeling confusion. If Dr Scott showed leadership it was going to be easy for him to displine team Lungu. The fact is that Lung is the only product they have who is saleable. When Mwanawasa died, MMD bundled through Ruphia handled issues in a mature manner even though him also is destroying his name. The problem in PF is the leader. John Maxwell wrote, everything begins and falls on a leader

      November 24, 2014 at 8:00 am

Yes, Scot might also be at fault in some ways. But what I can see is that in the spirit of bringing sanity, he is fighting a battle which is not his; battle for the contenders. All those who have said they want to stand for Presidency didn’t get bruised when Scot was attacked left and right for insisting they go for a convention. Edgar’s camp insisted on the ‘preferred candidate’ slogan and deliberately ignored the convention clause, which brought confusions. After Guy was bruised and stood his ground, the timid Presidential hopefuls popped from nowhere. SCOT HAD FOUGHT A LONELY FIGHT,and in some ways still is, and others are selfish cowards, hence my respect for him. Now look at what Edgar’s camp is saying. Ati NOBODY WAS AGAINST THE CONVENTION;This is the genesis of all this!!!!!

We can talk alot of things about all this leaders but as long as this country was declared a christian nation, God himself will choose who is going lead us in a peaceful manner. All what we need is to pray to God to give us a good and matured leader who can continue where the late president left this country.

Lungu and the team are destroying PF due to their failure to respect to respect the PF constitution and failure to respect the acting president of the party.Guy scott did not bar some of these members of central committee to enter state house but they chose not enter state house since their fellow members who have been suspended were not allowed.I urge Scott and team to quickly move the party forward and forget about that team of Lungu
