Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba says he will support Miles Sampa as the president for the PF.
Mr Mwamba says he will not recognize a president that was elected through a show of hands because the party constitution is explicit in the electoral process.
Mr Mwamba was speaking at press briefing called by Mr Sampa when he announced that he had filed an injunction against Mr Edgar Lungu.
And Mrs Bridget Atanga has maintained that she is still the PF Secretary General by the party president.
She says the conference that elected Mr. Lungu as President of the PF did not follow the constitution.
Mrs. Atanga adds that Zambians are crying for a new constitution and are now questioning if the PF is able to deliver it when it is failing to follow its own constitution.
Others who were available at the briefing were former Zambian High Commissioner to Nigeria Captain, Selemani Banda who also contested the presidency.

For Mwamba and Sampa it has to be a bemba to be a president, they can’t take a leaf from bembas in the cabinet that are so much in support of Lungu. These are the things that are wasting the party’s time. This one sues and the other one sues in the end you are all wasting the party’s time and those that put you in office. Is this how petty you people can become. The writing is on the wall people in your party want Lungu, what is your problem?
Tell them! why fighting within the same party?

There is something I strongly feel should guide the minds of our political leaders, the common interest or rather the common good. Our ambition should not be to have the status of a president but to serve the people. Some politicians when they say, I ‘ll rally behind you they can’t think beyond furthering and securing their businesses. Politics of benefits should be thrown into the rubbish bin and politics of service be promoted. Let us not support blindly but think about the agenda of the nation.

GBM is a waste of time. He backed Guy Scot’s actions and he used him like a condom. He should have known that people wanted Edgar Lungu to be president and supported him from the beginning. GBM has made the confusion worse and has damaged any credibility PF had. He should be ashamed of himself and ask Zambians for forgiveness!
