UPND Petitions High Court Against ZNBC

The United Party for National Development (UPND) has petitioned the High Court against the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC)’s alleged decision to shun covering its political rallies in the run-up to the January 20 presidential election.
The UPND is also asking the High Court to grant them an order of interim injunction to restrain ZNBC, its agents and servants from barring, prohibiting and denying the party from their equitable and fair access to party election broadcasts and political advertisements.
This is contained in an affidavit in verifying facts of the petition, and in support of the ex parte summons for injunction filed in the Lusaka High Court registry yesterday.

    BREEKING NEWS:
Edgar Kachasu Lungu is now mad. The man can even kill someone now.
And reports have emerged that his thugs are behind the killing of a white farmer in Choma in retariation to what Dr. Guy Scott is doing against him.
Reports indicates that Killing and abducting white farmers is one of the tactics and tricks he was taught by Robert Mugabe wen he (Kachasu Lungu) and Harry Kalaba sneaked to Zimbabwe.
Mugabe also taught Kachasu Lungu to fire his Vice President Guy Scott just as he (Mugabe) fired Madam Mujuru his Vice President.
In short, Zambia is now being indirectly ruled by Robert Mugabe; and expect worse things should Edgar Kachasu Lungu win the National Presidency

Hildah, you seem to be having a serious problem with your reasoning. You must be suffering from lunatic behaviour. You have been posting the same rubish on Lusakatimes and now you have jumped to this page. You must be very ashamed of yourself. Find something to do in life or else you will die with insults in your mouth.

I THOUGHT znbc HAS GIVEN ANY PARTY FAIR COVERAGE THAN ANY OTHER TIME IN HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY. WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE FOR znbc A PUBLIC BROADCASTER TO COVER THEM AND THEM ONLY?? IS UPND SPECIAL THAN ANY INDIVIDUAL PARTY???

ZNBC should improve on balanced reporting, though this time around they have shown great improvememt. The are still, certainly, biased in favour of the Ruling party!

ZNBC will always support or align itself with the party in power, that is the truth.

  11. Truth   December 17, 2014 at 11:04 am

There has been fair coverage from ZNBC compared to RB’s 3 yrs in power. So learn to appreciate!

  12. Zakeyo   December 17, 2014 at 11:43 am

Thats how decietful HH and his team can be!
Who cant see and appreciate the great efforts at ZNBC in covering all including smal things like green party! These days i prefer ZNBC to Muvi. Looks like Muvi is in the campaigh pocket of HH. The UPND are just failing to bribe ZNBC news crew. Keep up the good work “My old favourite” Maduma and team!

  15. zakeyo   December 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm

ZNBC is covering all parties very fairly. What UPND has failed is to bribe ZNBC news team led by “My old favorite” Ken Maduma.
Keep up the good work ZNBC! Your news coverage beats even ba Muvi TV.
abash Tribal UPND! realy you are the national broadcaster. Iam so proud of your news coverage!

    Zakeyo,
znbc has no problem to cover these small parties because they aren’t factors in the presidential race. Truly they are bias because none of upnd rallies has been aired by znbc.
