SDA Offended By Remarks That HH Is A Satanist

The Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Zambia Union Conference President, Harrington Akombwa says the SDA Church is alarmed by the malicious, regrettable and barbaric allegations made recently at a PF rally in Kabwe that UPND President Hakainde Hichilema is a Satanist.
Dr. Akombwa has told QFM News in a statement that Mr. Hichilema and his family are part of the SDA fellowship and have not hidden that fact.
Dr. Akombwa says as a committed congregant, Mr. Hichilema has attended many church functions around the country and has been an unrelenting supporter of many church functions including camp meetings and rallies.
Dr. Akombwa states that it is a known fact that Mrs Hichilema is a very committed Dorcas Society member.
He says it is for this reason that the SDA Church finds the allegations made recently that Mr. Hichilema is a Satanist and Mason not only barbaric but offensive and irrational.
He adds that unfounded allegations such as these are not only an assault on the development of democracy but also carry the ability to breach the peace that Zambia has become synonymous with.
Dr. Akombwa has since appealed to the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), Zambia Police, Acting Chief Justice and other concerned stakeholders to do all in their power to bring all those who are trying to disenfranchise the people by their cheap propaganda and breaching the Electoral Code of conduct to book.
Meanwhile, UPND Lubwa Ward Youth Chairman Chisankama Mudenda says the UPND feels offended by such remarks and that former Orthodox Church Bishop Edward Chomba should apologize to Mr. Hichilema for such offensive remarks.

      If elections were held today, Christmas day 2014 and if 2,539,925 people voted, which is nearly equally to the number of people that voted in 2011, 1,366,737 (53.81%) would vote UPND country wide and 880,087 (32.1%) would vote PF and 208,275 would vote MMD and 3.3% would vote FDD with a negligible NAREP % therein, therefore the current opinion poll based on 50 sampled registered voters in each of the 10 [provinces by province weight of voter numbers and with a margin of error of +- 3% results are as follows: Lusaka HH-44%, EL-44%NM-9%, EN-3%, Luapula HH-33%, EL- 59%, NM-13%, EN- 5%, Northern HH-30%, EL-58%, NM-10%, EN-10%, Muchinga HH-29%, EL-52%, NM-12%, EN-4%, Central HH- 54%, EL-34%, NM- 11%, EN-1%,Eastern HH-61%, EL-35%, NM-3%,EN-1%, Southern HH-89%, EL-6%, NM4%, EN-1%, Western HH-76%, EL-16%, NM-4%, EN-2%, North Western HH-82%, EL-8%, NM-5%, EN-1%, Sondashi-4%. These are based on the Product probability sum of averages of voter ratios. This gives HH 53.81% of the national vote with EL on 34.17% in this more exhaustive approach, my margin of error is 3%, and that HH’s pessimistic result in this scenario will be 50.81% and EL’s optimistic result will be at 37.17%. Seeing that now this is a two horse race, by deduction, we deduce HH to be president elect come January 20th, 2015.
      Kindly note that the voter numbers are 304,000 for Northwestern, 314,000 aprox for western, 644,000 for Eastern, 625,000 for Southern, 827,000for the Copperbelt and 748,000 for Lusaka and we are dealing with roughly 50% turn out (Was actually 52% turn out in 2011). Other sets of moving averages have been used to determine the expected number of voters with discounted voters on the basis of rains, deaths, lost voters cards and other factors of motivation and apathy. The sets of 50 Sampled individuals have been sampled more than once between November 1 and December 22nd 2014.

    I am also of SDA faith and do not support the allagation but the SDA union president is sensationalising the issue too much and clearly shows his inclination and furry. Pastor please try to pray for both parties to seek God’s guidance. Vengeance belongs to God.

      no need for him to do so when something is wrong is wrong whether you like that person or not how would you feel if that was your father – have you ever imagined how his children felt – when something is wrong it is wrong – so something just becomes right when you favour someone. So when you hate someone even if someone is beaten in the street you tell me you will just walk away? – then what Christian are you? who says Christians cannot condemn – even Jesus condemned the wrong – stop being hypocritical when something is wrong is wrong and that Bishop has not even openly apologized?

    1. The Church & Satanism are inseperable. You are the SDA President to fight Satanism. Its not barbaric.
    2. Giving gifts to support SDA programs & your wife being a Dorcass club member does not make you a saint.
    3. Taking a bishop, Pastor, elder or any believer to court over their belief has no evidence attached because these things are spiritually discerned.

    The Church SHOULD NEVER be alarmed when one of its members is revealed to be a Satanist. Instead, they must go deeper in prayer for such a one. Surely HH must be seeking some help from the various congregations he is frequenting of late. He was kuKatolika naba GBM and indifai failed to remove the satanistic tendences. That is why We never stop missing Dr. Matandiko (MHSRIP). The SDA is beyond parties. Among your congrgants are UNIPs, MMDs, UPNDs, PFs, FDDs, even green party doboists.     pastor akomwa is right if he defeading a politcian at personal level, but as church no way. i am SDA,we believe in supporting the government of day ,therefore as SDA infact we preach against evil like satanism.i invite people to ready the great controvesy a book written by EG white.SDA we should never found in politics. Zambian forgive us akombwa very soon the church shall put him to where he belong for bringing the name of church into politics .sorry.

    It appears to me that this SDA pastor didn’t learn anything from his time as a pathfinder to his current position in the church. I am SDA and I must say that I’m very disappointed in him. This man must apologise to the SDA church and next time if he is to express his opinion or render support to some individual, he must not do that on behalf of the church. Apologise ba pastor!     Salvation is personal. When we to Church we go as individuals. Some are saints while others practice all sorts of evil in their private time. This is not curch policy. It is an individual so why should the Church get involved in a private affair? SDA is not Tonga dominated, where I come from in Kawambwa at Chimpempe we have got one of the biggest SDA congregations, but noone from there feels offended by so called Bishop Chomba’s allegations against one HH. If this HH is satanist, this is between him and satan not the SDAs. When we face God we face him as individuals.

    the late president, MR Michael Chilufya Sata (MHSRIP)once said to be a politician one must have a thick skin. what did he mean? Remember how he was called all sorts of name be Chanda Chimba III. He never at any single moment call in the courts. He went on campaigning his vision to the nation and Zambians were left to judge for themselves. I’m totally amazed by Hakainde and UPND reaction. This makes me believe what the Bishop said in Kabwe unless otherwise…….
