MUVI TV Opinion Poll Results- An Artificial Creation

I remember UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema leading in Internet opinion polls in 2006 beating Michael Sata and Levy Mwanawasa in a distant 2nd and 3rd.
This was on website ran by one of our colleagues in the diaspora.
But the electoral vote and results were markedly different.
In 2008 Hichilema was also leading in the same opinion polls. But the voter results remained different.
The 2011 opinion poll remain fresh and its results. There were several. But the credible ones were those conducted by Dr. Neo Simutanyi who predicted an MMD win.
Another internet poll predicted Hichilema as the winner.
The respected steadman report showed a tight race between Rupiah Banda and Michael Sata but gave Banda an edge.
Offcourse the voter had a last laugh.
So the latest results showing Hakainde Hichilema leading Edgar Lungu 81% to 16% is clearly laughable.
Until our voters adopt and begin to use new technologies and until sms and internet polls reflect the genuine views and wishes of the voters, then an opinion poll such as one conducted by Muvi Tv will be respected.
In my analysis I referred to a scientific opinion poll that at least met basic requirements like a sample size that consists of voters.
And offcourse there is a dark but dominant side to this. We are aware of the manipulation.
“you gather a few young people in a room and give them talk time to vote again and again or the other standing group gathered to make repeated phone calls to radio talk shows to create an artificial popularity.
That approach cheats only oneself. But the actual results have shown again and again who wins.
At least I witnessed this manipulation when an online paper ran results from the QFM Radio polls last week.
When I visited QFM Radio to understand how the opinion poll was conducted and its results, we established for example that over 300 votes were attributed to 3 people that voted repeatedly on the website.
So only those who are not aware of activities designed to create an artificial opinion or popularity will get concerned.
I can confidently say this result from Muvi Tv has not escaped such manipulation.
The aggression shown by Hichilema in this election is understandable. He has dedicated huge resources for his publicity and has paid huge sums to the TV stations.
For this attempt at the presidency is clearly his last one. He has been at it since 2006.
But the voters are not aware that this his last attempt. …and will vote in power whoever they think will lead them better.

Mwaamba must chill. Muvi TV hasn’t even given us the margin error. The polls were generalized. But I’m concerned that Mwaamba has of late been responding to all news items that appear to report negatively on Lungu. Is there something we do not know? Relax man – some of us have just opted to wait for next month and see what happens. This man HH is focused and knows what he wants. He also appears to know how to get it. He’s no man to play with.

Emmanuel Mwamba you have been overtaken by complancy that reads to fallaciousness. Opinion polls are always artificial i.e. man-made even you shirts are are all artificial. Let Mr Chomba be a bishop and prophesy may be we can have a spiritual opinion polls! After all opinion polls are conduct by MUVI thereby their own eyes saw that and you can do it even in your home as your constituency and give them to us.

I used to take muvi tv seriously but of late thy have turned into upnd cadres,earlier on thy tv thy had said thy will announce the results on 18th january,2015 and all from the sadden thy decide to publish the result than expected wat are thy rushing?

Just concentrate on organizing your party so that it does not come third in the election.
At least a second position will do as the ruling party; the third position will be too much.

What do you expect out of Muvi TV? With the run of negative reporting we have seen on Muvi TV of late against the ruling PF, such opinion poll results are expected. Money corrupts and it seems the station has fallen to its power already, that’s if there was anything like the opposition buying off any form of popularity. If nothing of the sort, then one can only assume it’s pay back time for the alleged harassment their staff have suffered at the hands of cadres. Some of these problems are self-inflicted by being persistently and publicly biased. So even when you do something genuine in future, no one will easily accept. Another downside to biased positions is that people may end up thinking that falsehood is truthfulness, thereby being blinded to real issues. In this case, HH may well be convinced that he is winning the forthcoming elections and if the results will be otherwise he won’t accept it because he would have believed in falsehood. If the opinion polls were genuinely conducted, then kudos to Muvi. But if the recent biased reporting I have seen on Muvi TV is anything to go by, then the polls are held in serious doubt.

Honestly guys even if opinion polls are just OPINION all these polls all over can’t be all biased towards UPND. Because the sampling is not coming from the same demographic setting. Unless Tongas are running all the media outlets there should be some truth

At least I have never thought of buying a Muvi decoder and will never buy one. Ka Costa Mwansa and Steve Nyirenda are terribly biased in their reporting and do not deserve my money. I have just bought the ZNBC decoder today!!!

On this very media two headlines are alarming: 1. Money wont make Edgar win – GBM; 2. Northern province leadership against Edgar Lungu. What does it mean? 2001 it is you Mwamba who tell us what you did to Mazoka. In 2011 alot of us including profiles such as Col Panji came to PF from UPND to PF in a UPND/PF pact and remained to vote MMD. Do you think we think the same? Is Panji campaigning for PF now? Think. This politics not football where you vow to support FC porto or Wolves or Liverpool regardless where your best player is bought by the opponent team. Ridiculous! This is politics. Why is that PF cadres seem to come from one couple. They fail to clearly construct logical arguments and define the logic of their evidence and then provide evidence that verifies their arguments. If you ask them why they are supporting a drunkard and a patient Vodka Lungu they cannot give you a sane answer just like their elder brother Emmanuel Mwamba is shilly-shallying and waffling on opionion polls in his article.

There is nothing to be excited of becoz especially you, Sara am sure you will committee suicide when Edgar wins. Its like you are also in the blood drinking group. It has been discovered that people who comment based on tribal line who for some time have been masquerading as bembas are actually aliens from Zaire who came into Zambia using backdoors. Real bembas are are social, intelligent, respectful, have no problem to mix no wonder they are found everywhere east, west, south and central. They too are good analysers and support any QUALITY leader. These facts are there in schools, churches and anywhere else. The people this platform who insult are ba ‘mwisa’ who came running and now they want establish themselves in here. These tribal remarks where no here even in the pre-independence time when actually people were primitive. Mainza Chona could hand over power to KK selfless. In the 1964 elections H Nkumbula told the whites that his votes were for KK as well which made KK get the required 50% plus to have Zambia independent. Ever since there no tribalism remarks. 1991 FTJ was voted highest in ALL the polling stations in Southern Province so is in 1996. Unfortunately, during this period of liberalised economy Zaireans came as traders and by time even forget that they are foreigners thus with their genes of fighting and dancing they begun to speak louder than the real Zambians. They found opportunities for music and dancing but there were no opportunities for fighting thus they started tribal campaigns with few leaders like late Sata who could tolerate it to an extent if misleading him in 2006 not campaign in Western, Southern and North Western saying he could win in six provinces. This did not work. These ba mwisa have continued to promote tribalism to unsuspecting leaders, cadres and ordinary citizens even deceiving pastors to an extent of establishing media houses. Now that we know! Now that we are aware! You will not succeed. Zambians are one. Bembas dialects and tongas dialects and loz dialects, nyanja dialects, Lunda dialects, Luvale dialects, and Kaonde dialects are all one. And you mwisas will not break the bond of oneness our forefathers gave us. Just go back to where when you are not dancing then you are fighting. Leaders wake up and check who is surrounding you. Reject these foreigner and their children who they have taught wrong things such as bembas and tongas are at war! Which war? Why then arw they not tribal cousins? Tell them that in this peace of land called Zambia war is never permanent and if tribal war arose , the two tribes become tribal cousins. So you zaireans be shameful.
