Patriotic Front President Edgar Lungu has asked for forgiveness from the people of Northern Province for keeping them waiting for three days before addressing scheduled rallies in the province, saying he went to source for funds.
And business came to a standstill in Mpulungu District today after the PF President’s convoy was leaving Mpulungu after a successful rally at Muzabwela Grounds as people tried to catch a glimpse of the PF President.
Addressing a mammoth rally in Mpulungu District this afternoon, Mr. Lungu said he cannot use government resources for his campaigns because it is against the laws of the land.
He said this is the reason why he had to leave the country to source for campaign funds.
Mr. Lungu urged the people of Northern Province to be weary of people using money and endorsing the opposition Leader Hakainde Hichilema saying they lack direction.
He says he is aware that there is one person within the province
who wants to buy people using money because he wants to campaign for the opposition..
the PF President says having money is nothing stating that wisdom is key to looking after people.
Speaking at the same rally, Northern Province Minister Freedom Sikazwe apologized for keeping the people for three days before the rally could be held.
Mr. Sikazwe, who is also Mpulungu Member of Parliament, says the PF government has done tremendous work in the area in the last three years and that the only remaining challenge is provision of safer drinking water.
People had started gathering at Muzabwela Grounds as early as 11hours when the rally was scheduled to start at 16:00 hours.

You are not making sense! I the fact that Lungu is passing where HH has passed will give Lungu a chance to rubbish what ever HH lied?

Where were the nine candidates when Sata was still alive? They hibernated? They hid in fear of the spiting cobra. What are they? Cowards? Or have no real interest and politics is a hobby to them? Yes both apply. And they are pro pf parties without direction. They ate and dined na ba pf. Today they pretend to turn against pf. HH is unique coz he engaged pf from the beginning.
Upnd is the true party in opposition and an alternative to pf. Can provide change to people who really desire change.
The main contention is between pf and upnd. The rest are time wasters.
We have to choose voting for real change(upnd) or not(pf).

Do not forget that PF has built hospitals, schools, bridges, good roads. All these are in rural Zambia; this is the reason Zambians in rural areas are going to vote for PF. Watch out!!! I am a teacher in a rural area of Zambia. People see developments taking place everywhere and no one cheat them. People born in towns, educated in towns and live in towns, you do not know what is happening elsewhere. It is time you explored Zambia; not merely hearing these new developments.
