Govt Approves K32Milion Budget For Chipolopolo AFCON Outing

GOVERNMENT has approved a K32 million budget for the Chipolopolo’s outing to Equatorial Guinea for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Minister of Youth and Sport Chishimba Kambwili, who could not give the exact figure, said the budget submitted by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) was in excess of K32 million.
Kambwili said it was Government’s responsibility to provide funding to the senior national team and other logistics needed to adequately prepare for the AfCON finals.

that is bad all that cash, what does football going to bring whether win or loose are the people who are starving going to eat the AFCON even if so called chipolopolo bring the cup in Zambia how many people are going to benefit? late that cash be used to build a clinic in Garden compound it will make sense people who sick like Edgar will benefit greatly.

sport is also an industry just like teaching ,nursing and so on.nabena ni nchito.thats why a national budget is made to evenly cater for all areas of need.do we want all people to do one job.afcon comes once in two years the footballers oso have families they keep.didint we see sinkala ‘s photo?what does it depict? family man.now if they are given meager manies, how do they perform for mane released once in while.can one just buy mealie in home just because it makes nshima overlooking relish! reseach how other countris spend for theirr teams , you will be surprised.for example south africa ghana ivory .thats why they perform better.same if the team is ill sponsored u oso accuse faz and grz for plundering.even for a common worker to perfom needs motivating wage.let us be fair.
