Lubinda:PF Won’t Let Edgar Lungu STOP RB Cases
Given Lubinda says the PF will not allow Edgar Lungu to discontinue Rupiah Banda’s corruption cases if he wins this month’s presidential election as his government will be subjected to public scrutiny.
Commenting on revelations that Banda is supporting Lungu’s candidature in exchange for an acquittal, Lubinda said the party would insist that the court cases against Banda continue because there was a lot at stake for the party.
“[Lungu] will run a government that will be subject to public scrutiny. And I don’t think that Edgar would be so callous as to enter into an agreement and deal to shake criminal procedures or proceedings against people who may have cases in court or against individuals or organisations that have misconducted themselves, that have been caught up in some society of one kind or another,” he said.
“Because all of us in the Patriotic Front and the citizens at large will demand that all these cases are concluded, following the letter of the law. The law has to be followed to the letter and these include the matters concerning former president Rupiah Banda.”
Lubinda said PF members would allow the courts to conclude Banda’s cases without interference from anyone.
“Those matters we shall insist that the courts are given the latitude to conclude based on the evidence that is availed to them without any political interference from anybody and without any undue influence from any groupings,” he said.
“Like Edgar has said, all organisations that for whatever reason owe the Republic of Zambia will also be pursued in accordance with the law. I don’t think that people like myself will stand by and watch Edgar abuse his authority because what is at stake for us as a political party is much larger than him as an individual.”
And Lubinda said it was not true that all the people surrounding Lungu were after jobs.
“Such statements are very provocative and must be avoided because it is not true that all the people supporting Edgar are doing it for themselves. The majority of people supporting him do not even know him. It is not true that everyone campaigning for Edgar is looking for a job. I am campaigning for Edgar for the sake of mother Zambia and I am sure that I speak on behalf of many people who are surrounding Edgar Lungu,” he said.
Lubinda also said this was the easiest campaign he had ever been involved in.
“I have been involved in four presidential campaigns and from my experience, this is the easiest campaign for my candidate. It was extremely hard in 2001 with Anderson Mazoka…it became easier in 2011 with Sata because he had run a few times. But for this one, it’s the easiest that I have ever seen. That is the reason why I am even missing out in some of the national rallies because you can see that this is a done deal,” said Lubinda, who also appealed to politicians to denounce violence and preach peace.

Why can’t RB behave like KK? That one Muhabi Lungu is misleading him. Ask Nevers Mumba, KK, Dora Siliya and Lusambo about this boy Muhabi. He wants to use RB to rise in his political career. RB open your eyes and ears before it’s too late.
Let RB stay away from politics and enjoy his benefits. Infact bakakashi bacili baleshikila mu-bed na cancer bena basala ukuitumpa mufikasa fya chalo.

He is an old bum with sinister motives, his wife I think is back from SA hospital yet he decides to be running all over with someone in a party thats not even his own. His face is now on almost all PF campaign posters. He should be ashamed.
