RB Is NOT PF,We Don’t Expect To See Him In Our Cabinet -Simuusa
Rupiah Banda is not a member of the Patriotic Front and we don’t expect to see him in our Cabinet, says agriculture minister Wylbur Simuusa.
And PF secretary general Davies Chama wonders how Banda can accept a lower position when he served the country as Republican President. Simuusa, who is also Nchanga PF member of parliament, said Banda’s support for PF presidential candidate Edgar Lungu was decided upon by the two men without the party’s involvement.
“What we think and want to believe is that he (Banda) is supporting PF only during the campaigns. He is not PF and we do not expect to see him in our Cabinet. If he is supposed to come in our government, the members of the central committee should have had a say. If he was promised a position or to be integrated into the PF, the central committee will have to sit down. But as far as we are concerned, his support ends at the election,” Simuusa said in reaction to Banda’s desire to work as Lungu’s advisor. “What has come to us is that his duty is to support Edgar Lungu and not to join the Patriotic Front; he is not a member.
Supporting us, we cannot refuse; but being intergrated in PF is another issue, on which everybody who is a member is supposed to have a say.” He said Banda’s entry into PF had been received with mixed feelings as some people were not too clear on the terms he and Lungu had agreed. “I do not know what was agreed between the two and I doubt if anyone does. There is fear that he (Banda) has proposed his own Cabinet and the like, but to the best of my knowledge, nobody really knows what the agreement is. We read of the trip to Nigeria and so on, but we do not know,” Simuusa said. “Officially, I cannot confirm or deny the things we have been reading, but they are not far-fetched.” He said most PF members feared that Lungu would make adverse changes to the Cabinet and other government positions, replacing Michael Sata’s team with people advised by Banda. Simuusa emphasised that after the election, the deal Banda and Lungu had made would be known.
He, however, noted that Banda’s contribution to the campaign would deliver Eastern Province for the PF on a silver platter. Simuusa also said the PF reconciliation would be put to test next week when Lungu is elected president and announces his cabinet. “The reconciliation, which has not been so clear and to date seems shaky, will be finally put to the test after 20th January. It is then that we will know if Lungu had really reconciled with us,” said Simuusa.
“Most of us feel if it’s continuity Lungu is propagating, then he will need to continue with the team that our late dear president put together.” And Chama said it would be wrong for Banda, who had earned himself a good pension, to go for a lower position than the one he held before.
Chama said the party would only embrace Banda as an advisor and unifier of the nation because of the experience he gained during the time he served as Republican President.

Bola panshi ba Simuusa you went round telling people that Edgar told you he doesn’t need southern province and north western province votes. you are double tongued. We all know Rupiah is just helping Edgar because he had campaign gear ready and had nothing else to do with it. he doesn’t believe in Mumba. You failed presidential aspirants wanted Edgar to fail. What is wrong with advising? He did not say he will be employed as advisor. he will be available for advice. Ikaleni fye Lungu awine then you will appreciate someone adopted you otherwise your cartel wanted pf dead.

Rupia will surely be back in the government if Esgar wins. I mean what more with all those defiant approach tactics by Edgar. Rupiah will be appointed something and then there he will be. So PF supporters wait for RB. Zambians get ready for RB. Edgar will win. I am in support of HH but Edgar will win because he is supported by the thuggery loving Zambians and it is that king of group that has the power to usher in a president in our country because they always have the voters cards. RB will be a minister or Vice President. Stupidity all the way.

If Simuusa defects to UPND, that will be a good move. Simuusa is learnt with high calibre and of no much in PF apart from Scot. PF fits people like the thugs that raped a Vera Chiluba School teacher & her daughter. Mwaliteta, Jean Kapata, Nsanda, Vampiro, Kim, Isaac etc can match the PF cabinet debate but can be lost in the MMD or UPND meetings.

I can tell bloggers that Simuusa is not a man anyone should listen to! he is a disgrace! he has completely failed as MP, minister, and now he wants to continue dividing PF through his useless statements. RB cannot and would not accept to serve in a lower position than he held before. he has just offered to be an advisor to Edgar that’s it. of that I am very sure!!!
