Zambians Will Know My True Colours When I Win – Lungu

Edgar WusakileZAMBIANS will know my true colours when they give me state power on Tuesday, says Edgar Lungu. And Lungu, the PF presidential candidate in tomorrow’s election, says there is no leader who can govern a broken nation, and has asked his supporters to be peaceful as they go to vote in tomorrow’s election. Addressing a campaign rally at Kitwe’s Wusakile Grounds yesterday, Lungu said he would not tolerate indiscipline either in the PF or in the running of national affairs. “People say I am humble but I want to tell you that being humble is not the same thing as being weak. I am a humble young man but I am not weak at all. When you give me power of the state on Wednesday, you will know what I mean. We were in the opposition for 10 years, at some point they even gave me false charges but here I am, still going strong,” he said. In apparent reference to Chongwe member of parliament Sylvia Masebo, Lungu said there was a woman who had continued to misbehave in the PF and she would be expelled from the party. “There is a woman who was brought in the party by late president Sata. This woman used to insult the president when we were in the opposition. It’s just that president Sata was a merciful man. We told him that these are the same people that have been insulting you. This woman is rotten in the mouth with insults but the late president told us that we should learn to forgive, and he allowed her to join us. I will have the same heart of forgiving like late president Sata but that woman is going. Tulemutamfya, aleya (we will chase her, she is going),” he said. Lungu also castigated Kasama member of parliament Geoffrey Mwamba for opting to support the UPND and not the PF where he belongs. He said having money did not in any way mean somebody had brains. “Eko bali bamo aba abaina, aba bulungana, nendalama inshingi. Chishimba Kambwili, it’s not you am talking about, you are dark. Bena basweshi (There is a fat man with a round face and he has a lot of money with a light complexion). He is always saying me I have got money; I have told him that money is nothing. Ifintu ni brain boi (what is important is to have brains my friend),” Lungu said in apparent reference to Mwamba. He further said he would work hard to end poverty on the Copperbelt by creating empowerment for young people through incentives just like the government had decided to give the famous Black Mountain in Kitwe for young people to start mining. Lungu also said investors that mistreat workers and give them slave wages would be rejected in the country. And addressing a campaign rally in Choma on Saturday, Lungu told his supporters not to accept to be victims of violence. “There is no leader who can lead a broken nation. So it is important that we unite for the best of our country, no tribe is better than the other, we are all under One Zambia One nation. Our country has no record of refuges,” he said. Lungu said he would not fail to govern the country because former president Rupiah Banda would be there to help him. He said he was the best to run the affairs of the country because he had received support from old and experienced people such as Banda and Dr Kenneth Kaunda. “I am not worried of anything because Rupiah Banda is available to me for consultation. So you people, do not be cheated that I cannot manage to govern the country. Everything will go on well, there will be continuity of developmental projects left by president Michael Sata,” Lungu said. And Lungu who rose to the podium with vigour to convince the gathering that he was enjoying good health as opposed to claims by his political opponents said people were jealous of him. “I am not sick, people are cheating you that Edgar is not feeling well. Hena ndilajiswa mebo (Am I sick?) Only balozhi (witches) can say that because they are jealous,” said Lungu amidst cheers from the crowd. And Sinazongwe UPND member of parliament Richwell Siamunene said he had decided to continue working with the PF because it had initiated a number of developmental projects in his constituency.

    Dear PF Youth Members;

I am sad to inform you that we are likely to lose tomorrow Tuesday (2.01,15)to HH/UPND but with a small margin, but this is mainly due to violence and infighting that our party has experience since the demise of our beloved President Micheal Chilufya Sata (MHSRIP).

According to the 95% of the opinion polls conducted by our Party-PF, Muvi TV, Zambia Eye, the Post Newspaper and other Reliable Non governmental Organizations, the UPND/HH is favorable to win tomorrow’s Presidential Elections.

To this effect, I would like to inform all the Zambian People that as Patriotic Front, we are ready to concead defeat in the event that we lose tomorrow’s elections. At the same time, on behalf of the PF, I would like to condemn to sentiments attributed to the MMD President Nervers Mumba in which he said he would petition the presidential elections because of his MPs that are supporting the PF and UPND, as PF we believe such sentiments are a recipe for anarchy. Dr. Nevers Mumba should emulate us the ruling party on our pledge to concead defeat in an event that the UPND/HH wins the Presidency.

As Zambians we should learn to support each other, regardless of whatever party wins. Accrding to our analysis, HH is expected to win by getting 42% and Edgar Lungu will come second by getting 36%.

The PF as a party is calling on the ECZ to ensure that its conduct free and fair elections to avoid post election violence. I am further calling on ECZ to investigate the rigging allegations as reported by the Zambian Watch Dog so that all suspicions are erased before it is too late. AS pf we are not interested in rigging elections, but that is not to say other members of our party cannot have such evil ideas. No wander we are calling on ECZ to ensure that any person who is going to mastermind rigging, is dealt with firmly. We would rather lose than winning a fraudulent and incredible elections.
Finally I call on PF not to to be demoralized by the fact that the PF is losing tomorrow’s elections, but should rather wake up early to vote to support our President Edgar Lungu.

    CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI
    PF YOUTH CHAIRMAN.

GBM RECEIVES A PRESIDENTIAL AND HEROES’ WELCOME IN NAKONDE, AS HE PROVES TO BE FAR MORE POPULAR THAN EDGAR LUNGU.

Yesterday (18th January 2015) close to Ten Thousand people accorded GBM a welcome befitting a seating Head of State when they turned up to witness GBM’s Political Rally in Nakonde. The five OP Officers and 20 Senior PF Members who attended GBM’s Nakonde Rally were surprised and shocked that the number of people who attended GBM/UPND’s rally was almost 4 time as many as compared to th that had earlier attended Edgar Lungu’s rally on 5th January 2015 and 10 times many than those that attended FDD’s Edith Nawakwi’s rally 2 weeks ago in Nakonde.
A lot of people including many high ranking PF district members were shocked to witness a sea of people which GBM was able to command and were heard admitting that HH will win the Tuesday Presidential Elections with a wide margin against his closest rival Edgar Lungu of PF
GBM has proved that he is more popular than Edgar Lungu going by the number of people that turned up for his first rally in nakonde. He arrived in Nakonde at Ntindi Secondary School Ground at exactly 17:15 hours and was surged by thousands of supporters who flashed the UPND symbol in solidarity with him.
And addressing thousands of Nakonde Residents this afternoon, GBM said that he decided to support and campaign for HH after the current PF President Edgar Lungu sidelined him in his campaigns. He told Nakonde Residents that he joined politics not to enrich himself but to serve the Zambian People and Nakonde People in particular. He said that when he resigned as the Defense Minister he did not suffer because he already had money which he made through his clean business. He condemned Edgar Lungu for thinking that PF belonged to him and sidelined founding members of the party. He added that Edgar Lungu is now feeling his wait and heat, no wander he is now panicking. He further told thousands of the residents that Edgar Lungu will lose the coming elections and appealed to Nakonde residents not to remain behind but be among the winning team of the In Coming President Hakainde Hichilema. He pledged to go back to Nakonde to thank the residents for the winning votes that they will give HH/UPND in Tuesday’s Presidential Polls.
And when word went round that GBM was in Nakonde, a large column of people started flocking to Ntindi School Ground, a school which is less than 1km away from Tanzania. It is the first time in since independence for the Helicopter to land at Ntindi School and residents felt honored by GBM’ss visit hence their pledge to vote for HH the candidate GBM is supporting.
And the PF Nakonde District veteran Political Analyst Dr. Royd Siwale admitted that GBM was 4 times popular in Nakonde than PF Presidential Candidate Edgar Chagwa Lungu. He wondered how thousands of people could attend GBM’s rallies compared to just a handful of the Nakonde Residents and those that were ferried from the neighboring Tanzania who attended Lungu’s rally on 5th January 2015.
He added that if the political rallies were the best means of analyzing the popularity of any presidential candidate, then HH is going to beat Edgar Lungu by getting 74% while Edgar Lungu will be languishing in 26%. In short in Nakonde Edgar Lungu as an individual is embarrassing not popular as compared to GBM and UPND/ HH in particular, but PF as a party is still considerably popular than Edgar Lungu himself no wander very few turned up for his rally as compared to thousands that turned up for GBM’s today Nakonde Rally.

I saw two guys struggling over shopping cart that was full of stuff from. It was a fierce struggle each one of them claiming ownership. I stood at a distant watching what was going on with a number of other people. Within few minutes one of the two guys pushed the cart shopping with so much force toward the other, then let go of the cart and run away from the scene. Suddenly woke up!
There is likely to be a lot of rigging in this election. Every patriotic Zambian should play a role in ensuring that tomorrow`s elections are free and fair. Also pray that any rigging attempts are foiled. God is in the process of cleansing Zambian politics, and those that are planning to frustrate the cleansing process, by rigging these elections, God will deal with them sternly. My message to ECZ is that please be alert, and watch out for any acts of rigging.

All I can say is this election I have noticed that alot of us Zambians are very tribalistic especially us Bembas and Nsengas we naturally say Southerners and Westerners are, but we have seen more tribalistic insults on Tumfweko more from the north and east. This is just my personal observation, but as we vote remember we are all Zambians, it is sad to see that we claim to be a christian nation but we are far from it, we are a country full of hatred and ready to harm or kill for someone who doesnt even know you exist. Go vote wisely.

Ive been keenly following Edgars campaigns just as i have HH’s and being a PF follower who voted for Sata, i must say i have been left dismayed and disapponted at Edgar’s lack of vision or policy articulation that a presidential aspirant needs to posess. his messages are all about other’s stomachs and childish statements only appealing to selfish people or those unable to appreciate the interlectuality in issues that others bring to the table. Do not be driven by common exitement. Zambians we only have one country to live in. This time its HH.

Do not forget, we will have referendum, over 20 parliamentally bye-elections. There are over 1,000 schools, roads, clinics, hospitals and, bridges under construction. !!!EDGAR LUNGU Vs HAKAINDE HICHILEMA
      EL Vs HH

      POLL BASED ON RALLY ATTENDANCE
      EL rallies Vs HH rallies

ELs rally at woodlands stadium outnumbers HHs Rally at the same place yesterday in the
      ratio 3 to 1
      or possibly
      4 to 1.

      EL 3:1 HH
      or possibly
      EL 4:1 HH

THE SAME TREND WAS OBSERVED WHEN EL HELD A RALLY IN MANDEVU WHERE HH ALSO LATER HAD A RALLY

      MANDEVU RALLIES
      EL Vs HH
ratio in terms of attendance was

      EL 3: 1 HH.
      Just considering this fact,
It indicates that EL has more followers in Lusaka than HH.The same trend was observed in the Copperbelt,
      central,
      luapula,
      northern,
      Eastern
      and
      Muchinga.
However HHs rallies also had a
HH 3:1 EL ratio in terms of attendance in Southern and north western
with a 3:2 ratio in Western province.
Overall it is Looking good for the rulling party’s candidate EL who is likely to win by a widder margin.
