A 40-YEAR-old man has allegedly been stoned to death by his three brothers-in-law for refusing to release his 25-year-old wife to them so that she could go and nurse their sick mother.
Luapula Province commissioner of police Malcolm Mulenga said in an interview yesterday that the incident happened around 07:00 hours on Monday in Kalusha village in Chief Matanda’s area.
Mr Mulenga said Samuel Kalaba was stoned to death allegedly by John Ilunga, 20, Charles Chisala, 27, and Benjamin Ng’andwe, 29, all of Chipeti village in Chief Matanda’s area for refusing to allow their sister (his wife) to go and nurse her mother who was suffering from malaria in the next village, which is about 40km away.
Kalaba suffered multiple deep cuts on his head and bruises on his body. No arrests have been made.

Sad news. The perpetrators of this crime must be arrested. It is such crimes that make me support the death penalty.

If these are not the Devil’s cousins, then the devil has no cousin at all. Hang these little devils until they too are pronounced lifeless. Ifimitwe nga pale, why didn’t they ask their ugly wives to take care of their mother? Do they not know about health centres? Crucify these devils at once.
