‘Elections Were Conducted In A Transparent And Fair Manner’
Deputy Chief Justice and ECZ Chairperson Irene Mambilima has dismissed allegations by Hakainde Hichilema that the election has been stolen from him.
Speaking at Mulungushi Result Centre, Mambilima stated that the results were observed and verified by party monitors.
She urged those making claims to resort to the law.
“We conducted the poll in an open manner. We witnessed the voting together,we counted together with all parties, we verified together. So if we stole the votes, we stole it together” she said sending the entire conference in

I admire the levels integrity of Justice Mambilima in handling of elections. Those agrieved should really resort to the law. UPND sympathizers, gather your information that would be of use in the courts of law but to me that would be like chasing the wind. Rise and rebrand….. Congrats 6th Republican president Edgar C Lungu

lets teach HH a lesson of his life in 2016 by making sure that number of voters in luapula is equal to southern province. Northern shud take western and north western. muchinga takes lamba and part of central. Eastern, lusaka and copperbelt will be wining votes for lungu

As much as it is not good to lose, the will of the people must be respected. HH must truly try and be national in the coming elections. Tribal politics are what has killed him. For example just look at the voting pattern in Southern province? My suggestion is that let Zambia make tribalism a criminal offence to deter people. Otherwise congratulations to HH for giving PF a run for its money. You have come a long way

Wait for 2016 and see how we will vote. We warned the tongas about the way they vote but would not listern. Once beaten twice shy indeed. Let him stand in 2016 again. I pity HH he has lost to nobody, what a shame the unknown Lungu carries the day; Lungu couldnt even compete in his own party ,he was scared of sampa he couldnt stand him;HH change your philosophy or else you are history, you have been your own enemy because of your unkempt mind of tribalism, and pomposity really worked against you

madam ireen is woman of valour who deserves a nobel prize. Hh has lost because he chose to surround himself by people who were not able to add value to upnd, e.g gbm, failed to deliver kasama to upnd. Even within his party some people complained that preference was given to the newest comers on the bandwagon while ignoring the old timers. Let them rebrand & critically analyse what cost them this election otherwise come 2016 history will repeat itself for upnd & it will be worse

I agree with all the comment s on HH. He is the weakest link and as often as the UPND offer hom as their presidential candidate, they will lose. UPND need to rebrand and shake off the tribal as well as the Bantustan tag if they want us to believe that they are national in character. I see ECL all the wsy to 2025 and then I see Samp taking over the baton to muyaya.
