United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema says he was not declared winner of last week’s poll simply because he is Tonga.
Speaking Monday morning at Cresta Golf View hotel in Lusaka Mr. Hichilema maintained that he won the election he however, says he was not declared winner because of his tribe.
“It was discussed on Thursday that I had won the election” he said.
“They said I couldn’t be president because I am Tonga… Where do you want us to go? I was not there when my father was loving my mother, It just happened. You are punishing the wrong person
