Senior Members of Parliament and senior members of the United Party for National Development have expresses alarm that their leader Hakainde Hichilema is readying himself for 2016 triparrite election Campaigns.
“HH is not eligible. His two terms have expired. He has been our party president since 2006. It’s been 10 years”.
The senior members also expressed concern that outsiders (so called alliance partners) were given more prominence and resources than members that have toiled for the party for many years.
“The party has an opportunity to rebrand itself and rebuild it’s image. We are lucky we did so well but the party needs a new leader”
“We pushed the PF to follow it’s own rules and follow it’s own Constitution. It’s only right and fair that since the two terms that our leader has served is enough. We should never tamper with our Constitution to accommodate a single individual no matter how hard they have worked, if Zambians have to take us seriously”
Most political parties’ constitution have a two term limit to suit the Republican Constitution.
But certain candidates like Tilyenji Kaunda (since 2001), Edith Nawakwi and Hakainde Hichilema( since 2006) have been contesting elections without holding party conventions and due regard to internal democratic requirements.

Trust me, no one can ever convince these UPND ‘yappers’! They can’t think past their HH. It is a CULT SYNDROME at work here. And you know how completely brainwashed “cult” members can be. I think sober minded UPND members definitely understand why HH even came close in these by-elections. They also realistically know what will happen if he runs again in 2016.
If HH couldn’t beat a new comer to presidential elections who was also embroiled in internal party wrangles, how then does HH hope to perform even better against an incumbent president? Even the head-start he had in campaigns and mostly PF supporters’ apathy didn’t help him win either. Good questions for UPND cadres to ask themselves!

Especially that PF was conducting the election!!
The only way PF stole the election was by having huge masses attend. HH’s rallies, eat his money, him falling for it and taking it to the bank, then: BOOOOM! the vote goes to ECL!! Stolen my d!ck.

My brother Judge Joe Bidden? Are you there? Help me seek wisdom from this debate:
1. What do UPND members mean when they say “Only HH CAN lead the party.” Does it mean that the rest of the members are watchers?
2. Is the UPND lost or dead without HH? I ask so coz some of his supporters even lambast their members that ask for change saying “can you even hold a convention without HH?”
These qns make me feel like he holds the party for ransom: Top Job.

To be honest the reason hh can never win presidential elections is NOT tribe or wealth but pride. Pride is a serious disease which is had to cure. HH can’t be talking like he is the only educated guy in zambia who understands economics, nooo. He’s approach to the equation is totally wrong.

Finally, some people have started to talk, and talk sense! UPND has no chance with HH in the driving seat! He may not like it but if he is a true patriot, he should step down for a more vibrant and marketable candidate. Besides that, UPND should show the world that they are a democratic party. Let them convene a party conference and conduct party elections.

The author of this article has his head corrupted with a new virus called ‘ Paya Farmer’. HH stood in 2006 under UDA – United Democratic Alliance and NOT UPND. UDA was a registered entity. Check your facts correctly. This author wrote this article from unclear mind in that no single citation in the UPND constitution has been made. How do we believe the author? Only people suffering from the paya farmer virus like Yambayamba can agree to this scrap journalism without any suppliment information.

A nonentity cannot attract such numerous comments unless he is of substance. The recent performance of HH has left those who expected him to lose lamentably, frustrated. They are scared that HH has made inroads and continue doing so ahead of 2016.
In places such as Lusaka where there is no tribal stronghold and a lot of intermarriages, people are not rigid with their votes.

The emotional decision by Mumba will have a negative impact on our economy. Holding bye-election for 25 MPs at the same time will drain a lot funds from our coffers which could have been used by the new govt to patch up the economy. Currently we have a lot of odds against our economy , the metal prices have gone down meaning a loss of income to our coffers. The reduction of fuel prices will also lower the income base.
The following are the issues that need attention by the govt ,
A) the cost of money in the country still high and cannot stimulate SME s to do meaningful business
B) public expenditure is higher than what the nation can pay. possible solution govt should adopt austery measures to low the public expenditure by reducing staff , maintain wage and. Employment freeze , do way with District commissioners , put on hold infrastructure development in. New districts
C) reduce cabinet and ministries. E.g traditional affairs
