Women Who Use Sex Toys Are More Decent Than Prostitutes – Actress Bisi
Why is there even a comparison? Actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe says women who use sex toys are more decent than prostitutes who give their bodies to different men and in the end come down with all kinds of sexually transmitted diseases. Bisi, who sells sex toys in her lingerie shop in Lagos, says there is no big deal in using sex toys
“It’s not a big deal. It is only our mentality here in Nigeria that is somehow. In the western world, they don’t see it as anything big. Left to me, anybody using sex toys is even decent compared to a prostitute. If you are using sex toy, you are better than a woman jumping from one bed to the other. Before such a person realizes, she has contracted sexually transmitted diseases. She can even be infected with HIV/AIDS. But with the use of sex toys, nothing like that can happen to you.”she told encomium mag.

I think the primes of all this is wrong. I am not sure what the exact question put to her was, but PROSTITUTION has very little to do with sexual desire or satisfaction. Prostitutes ply their “trade” mostly for financial and economical survival more than any other consideration. Being SEXUALY PROSQUIMOUS is really quite different from being a prostitute—to me it sounds like this is what she is taking about than prostitution. Also it is quite possible that there are plenty of prostitutes out there who own and use sex toys and still go out and engage in the business of prostitution. By the same token, using sex toys does not guarantee that someone will be sexually fulfilled and not engage in sexual activities with men. So having and using a sex toy is just a “stop-gap measure” which has very little, to nothing really, to do with ones’ DECENCE or MORALS. Nonetheless, she is right on the disease aspect of it.

Yambayamba, prostitution is simply immoral conduct ending up in sex for one to gain favors.
Reasons differ depending on needs. Some its money as you have already reasoned. Its still prostitution if a woman seduces you to get a job, claim marriage from you etc. Have you not heard of women who have offered sex to gain confort. Sugar mommies fund us but they are prostitutes. Aren’t they? In real terms, the writer of the article is right except the alternative she is suggesting though safer is also harmful.
