FAZ Attaches Mexican To U-17

THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has attached Mexican tactician Sergio Fentanes to the under-17 national team ahead of the Niger Africa Junior Championship kicking off on Sunday.
Fentanes was introduced to the team yesterday at Lusaka’s Barclays Sports Complex.
FAZ chairperson for youth football Lee Kawanu said the Mexican will add experience to the technical bench.
Fentanes worked with the Chipolopolo at the 2015 Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup of Nations.
Kawanu, who is also FAZ executive committee member, expressed confidence that Fentanes will help Zambia perform to expectation in Niger.
“We are glad to have Fentanes travel with the team to Niger as he will assist the technical bench with tactical analysis as regards to our opponents. Football has become more scientific and his presence is good for the team,” he said.
And under-17 coach Chris Kaunda said the team is delighted to travel with the Mexican to Niamey.
Kaunda called on players and coaches to give support to Fentanes.
The junior Chipolopolo are in Group A with Guinea, Nigeria and hosts Niger while Group B has Cameroon, Mali, South Africa and defending champions Ivory Coast.
The semi-finalists will qualify for the World Junior Championship set for Chile in October this year.

Why attach failures to the already performing technical team? They were not there during the qualifiers, the team managed to do well.

The Mexican was there with Kalu in 2006 the senior team did not go past the group stages. This time around 2015 he was there again the same result.

Iam afraid FAZ has just consigned our lads to early exist mark my words. Truly Kalu is a destroyer, the best was to let Kaunda finish what he started not exporting failures of the Senior team to the U17.
