Drama: Mutembo Nchito Goes Into Hiding As Police Surround His Home
The impending arrest of Zambia’s Director of Prosecution (DPP) has taken a new twist.
In order to enforce a warrant of arrest issued by a Lusaka Magistrate Court, Police visited and surrounded Mutembo Nchito’s home who remains unavailable and has gone into hiding.
Once arrested, Mutembo Nchito is expected to be availed before the magistrate court where he could apply for bail or discontinue the matter in his capacity as DPP.
It is yet to be seen how this developing matter will end as the DPP is said to be planning to avail himself to the Police on Thursday but while in court enter a Nolle Prosequi ( a discontinuation of the court process) claiming that only his office is allowed or constitutionally mandated to prosecute any criminal matter in the courts of law.
The DPP might also cite constitutional security of tenure and protection he enjoys under the law.
Lawyers for Newton Nguni who is the complainant and has since laid 11 charges are expected to argue that the DPP (Nchito) has allegedly committed criminal offences and he is not above the law and should instead recuse himself, declare interest and allow the due process of the law to take effect.

The same fools trying to enforce the arrest of this man are also a bunch of criminals who are clueless as to the importance of fair application of justice. They do not understand the setting of precedence and its effect on the future. Vindictiveness is the order of the day with these bafoons. This DPP is a huge disgrace to Zambia and the legal profession.Nchito should have long ago resigned his position on both moral and professional grounds.HE should constitute a Tribunal to have Nchito probed and eventually removed from office.

Ba New Educated Zambia – If you are not Zambian I think you are better off remaining quiet. Mutembo Nchito should just avail himself to the judicial process – he is innocent until proven guilty. Newton started these allegations some time back. If Mutembo was being shielded by MCS, then well he is not there to shield him. There is no vindictiveness here. If Mutembo abrogated the law, it doesn’t matter if it is RB pursuing him due to what he did to him. It is about Mutembo being truthful in his conduct.

In today’s full cabinet that will be announced the the Ceremonial President, I understand the Real and resurrected President Rupiah Egg-Shapped Head Banda will have half of his preferred names and all ministers will be bowing down to him (Rupiah) as he is the appointing authority while the Ceremonial President will just be rubber stamping.
Watch the space, Zambia is doomed under Edgar Lungu the remote controlled President. I understand the co president to Rupiah Banda Robert Mugabe has also seen the cabinet that would be announced today.

Whatever is happening to Mutembo Nchito or DPP is not supported by any evidence that it was instigated by RB or any other outsider or the President of the Land, but by one Newton Ng’uni by way of a complaint as provided for by law. So, people like Jane Mulenga, whoever it is should stop hallucinating and start campaigning for 2016 if they seriously want jobs. Whoever becomes my president after going through all the processes is fine for me regardless of colour, tribe or religious belief. I do not know why people should bother themselves with HH. We will talk about him if and when he becomes president one day.
